quote:No argument here, but the thread topic is 6-2 conference record.
I'm in the camp that a season with a blowout loss to state and a loss to troy and a two TD loss to Bama is not outstanding coachikmg.

We replaced our coach with the expectation of being better
Was there a written guarantee?? Who said this?? Alleva?
Why are you and others so annoyed that a coach in his first full year and with a new OC are struggling a bit?
You don't believe things can get better? The Miles supporters watched that bumbling idiot stumble around for 5 years after 1-9 personally making all kinds of guarantees about change...only to find out he was lying straight up.
Nobody seemed to get in an uproar about that.
I don't see why CEO can't be afforded just a little latitude (a full year) to implement change and make improvements.

No we got rid of Miles because he refused to change....
the Miles camp have clearly forgotten the reason the man was canned.

What was his stubbornness keeping us from winning?
I hope you're joking here....

The role reversal here is quite ironic. You used to bash our championship winning coach, and now you defend a guy who's biggest accomplishment is covering a 3TD spread against Bama.

You clearly didn't think before answering me.

Its quite comical, actually. I never thought I’d see the day where people were happy about a 2 touchdown loss. Especially one where we were no real threat to win.

You sons a bitches are never happy... Get the hell out of here with the nonsense. If we win 9 or 10 games this year, that will exceed EVERYONE's expectations. Quit looking for sh1t.

Our championship winning coach had deteriorated into a gibberish speaking boob who was too stubborn to make the changes this program needed but felt no remorse about lying about it. Don't be mad because you bought the lie.
O is not perfect...and he wasn't my first choice...but he deserves a chance to right the ship that Miles was in the process of sinking.
If Miles had any inkling on how to select, train, and use a QB properly, we wouldn't even be having this discussion because he would still be coach.
His legacy is keeping decent QBs from coming here and I don't blame them a bit.

Can you link me to where I said this? or are you content just to remain a lying POS?

It is.
Remember when you defended 5-3 and 4-4 conference records?
Bitch

It's not Ed's fault those coaches are having bad seasons. Ed is paid to win no matter what the record of the teams on the schedule

and touting this as a sign that O has the team trending up...
....a win is a win is a win. Considering the devastating early loses and the comeback, I'm thinking this team has excelled. Hey, let's just enjoy the rest of the season okay. Last time I checked a 9-3 season is a winning season. Tack a bowl win to that record and that's a very respectable 10-3 season. IMO Coach Eaux and his staff have done a remarkable job bringing this team back. They're winners in my book. Color me proud.
