Kirby is one of the better defensive coaches out there and his defense this year showed that. Jimbo doesn’t even come close to that level as an offensive coach today. He’s fallen behind the modern game and will hold their offense back with his dated approach.

And before you say UGA won with a similar offense, A&M’s defense will never get this level of coaching. Kid Killer did a nice job at Ole Piss, but he isn’t on the same planet with Kirby and UGA’s defensive staff. This is just a ridiculous comparison, acting as if coaching doesn’t matter.

You conveniently ignore the fact that Jimbo destroyed the FSU program on his way out the door. He was almost as bad as O when it came to checking out and ceasing to give a shite after they won it all and he got pissed off at their AD and administration.

The culture at FSU didn’t get messed up after Jimbo left. He’s the one who couldn’t manage it. He was just smart enough to hit the door before the ship took him down, too. Ask yourself- After his struggles at the end at FSU, do you really think he’s going to be able to run the three ring circus that he’s set up at A&M going forward? Very few coaches are cut out to manage that many alpha personalities in one locker room and not just keep them from killing each other, but turn them into a team. We’re talking about Nick Saban, Pete Carrol, John Calipari, Coach K, Pat Riley, and of course, Phil Jackson. All are coaches who can get difficult guys to behave. All could get stars to play roles and buy-in. All are HOF-level coaches. Do you believe Jimbo is on the same planet with them? No one else does.
