Hope you enjoyed it, because you sure as hell will not hear again for a long time.

Absolutely true on both counts. My daughter is in Vet School at LSU and loves going to all the games. She doesn't drink and doesn't really like the extent of the "vulgarity" of a large segment of the student section. She worries that every good song the band comes up with gets ruined to the point that the band can't play it anymore. On the other hand, while I don't go to all the games, I have heard a lot of vulgarity from people of all ages in the various parts of Tiger Stadium I have been in over the years.

But as an 56 year old LSU alum who enjoyed every Tiger game for seven years while I was there from 1973-1979(undergrad & law school)from my "free" seat in the student section, I don't really like the fact that the student section has been made smaller over the years and that students have to pay for tickets now. LSU was my school (and still is in spirit)but it is their (current students)school now. Some people are just using the vulgarity issue as an excuse to take more seats from the students to have more available to sell to the public.

So the kids today just don't behave like we think they should. Now there's a surprise!

Debatable. Make them all general admission seats.

It's clear the students aren't gonna stop with their stupid additions to the songs. In a few years they'll look back and regret it though. I just wish they'd wise up so we could hear all the songs again.

What are your thoughts on why they banned neck?

IMO, at the end of the day, athletics are in place to enrich the college experience, and every student who wants to go to a game should be able to....for free

Yes, I consider middle-aged men being vocally upset two days after the biggest win in three years because their favorite songs got banned by the administration to be "whining."

So what's worse, 10,000 students yelling at the top of their lungs screaming profanity, or 30,000 season ticket holders leaving during the 3rd quarter? Which is better home field advantage?

So what's better, 10,000 students getting in the game virtually free or 60,000 season ticket holders freely donating millions of dollars per year to LSU? Which builds a better program?

Some Alabama students I met talked about how they couldn't wait to see and hear our student section and hoped the band played "Neck" a bunch.

Even students from other schools see how great our students are.

Screw the old jagoffs that don't get it.

This shite again?

FWIW, Florida and Auburn fans loved Neck. They didn't seem to mind the profanity and vulgarity involved in it at all. In fact, they laughed their asses off and said our band was "awesome" for playing it. I was sitting around 30-40 year olds.

The Alabama fans next to us thought "All I Do Is Win" was the greatest thing they've ever seen.

It really is an awesome crowd song.

Yeah, no.

Auburn pumped it in through the load speaker like a poor man's Virginia Tech. Their band doesn't play it.

Pumped in music in college football is about as cool as a bucket full of AIDS.

Did their band? I know they piped it in about 4 millions times, but I don't recall their band playing it.
