Look, I wish they'd tone down the profanity, but I'm not about to complain about the student section after Saturday.
And grown men bitching about their profanity because the administration refuses to let the band play their favorite songs is about as lame as you can get.

You're right, but to deny the importance of the student section is ridiculous. You speak as if you were a well behaved student who never drank, cursed or thought improperly of women back in the day. Give me a break. Does the drunken vulgarity make the student section look bad? Absolutely. Does the exodus of the older fans after halftime, coupled with the late arrival of that majority, exemplify a half assed fanhood. Absolutely. Don't you dare brag about the excellent atmosphere that death valley imposes upon opponents and then bitch about the student section. That atmosphere would be non existent without the students.

Uh, I'm a former grad who just happens to have season tickets near the student section.
I'm in the same boat as you. I just don't whine about things like a little girl.

And I'll respond again. Take it up with the administration. It was under their order that the songs were banned. Really, banning a song because students say "you suck" is beyond ridiculous.

LSU student section is the best section in TS. We keep the stadium loud from beginning to end while the Tiger defense is on the field, we arrive as soon as the gates open, and stay until after the Tigers go inside the locker room.
The only negatives are the vulgar chants.. But regardless. We keep Tiger Stadium rockin'!

I haven't seen that many people leaving early this year but I've only made it to the big games so far. What I have noticed is that most of the faggy booing our own team's players (your 'classmates') is from the student section and for that I say to you "For shame."

Well that's the ironic thing. "Suck that Tiger Dick" is much more vulgar than "You suck," yet Neck was played at least twice on Saturday.

I complete disagree with this.
The vast majority of boos were coming from sections other than the students.
