i bet miles has lots of 'handlers'
they go around padding sharp corners and put hazardous cleaning chemicals out of reach
every room has to be 'miles-proofed'

I agree with most of your assessments.
While I can't advocate the outright firing of Mallory (unless he declines the offer of demotion to position coach), certainly his status as DC has to go. Even if it's Miles' determination that the fault was his (Miles') and that the problem was the "CO" system, and Mallory would be better as the sole DC, I still can't advocate Mallory retaining any playcalling duties because he shares "co-blame". Here is my one caveat on that - IF he was responsible for calling the blitz packages that (temporarily) turned things around in various games, and it was Peveto that called the "bend and break" nonsense, then I will reconsider (no promises, though).
Here is my argument for Mallory - Steltz, Chevis Jackson and Zenon. He coached those guys for three years and they absolutely became beasts (Chevis was pretty good to begin with, but Zenon and Steltz were raw as freshmen).
I like coach Stud, but I agree he should be on the hot seat after this year. As talented an OL as we have had in years, and they really just blocked for Scott for 9 games.
Joe Robinson is intriguing - in some ways, I thought we did okay on special teams, but on the other, I thought that Peveto did a terrible job (at least the first two years) and that any change there would be good.

Then at the end of the game petrino gave us yet another gift and we completely shite on it
petrino didn't even coach a good game and they still won

it's not exactly easy to get guys like patrick peterson or d-bowe from the state of florida
This is true, but guys like these aren't backbones of the program, its the top notch in state recruits. Guys like Peterson and Bowe weren't stolen by a bigtime recruiter, these guys were looking elsewhere already and just need someone to make a case for them not to stay in state.

oh petrino tried like hell to give us that game. The onside kick, going for it on 4th instead of the FG, the kick at the end of the game

what's reggie herring doing?
his D is kind of simple and he never plays zone (thus our CBs draft stock will get hurt a little), but he is a big, "you are going to hustle your arse off and run to make plays every play" type of DC that we seem to need

The DCs should have some dignity and just resign. If they dont go, then LSU fans will.

miles has some positives
-he's a good recruiter
-he is a good person
-he understands timing and when to make calls that other coaches wouldn't (trick plays)
-his goofy exterior works for some people
but he's gotta realize that's about it and he has some major flaws that haven't been corrected since he got here
That goofy exterior is why our entire state is laughed at by the media....and the rest of America.
I agree with you Slow on what the positives are for Miles. For the negatives, let's see what next year brings and maybe we can all agree at that time. Please Please Please correct those major flaws.

I know rantards like to pretend we'll be just fine staying in state, but recruiting OOS guys is an absolute must. Do you know how fricked we would be this year without guys like Peterson, Lafell, Tolliver, etc? And Hatch can't forget Hatch

exactly how do you think the game is called? You think they trade off?
Is it like two outfielders going for a pop fly? "I got it"......"no, I got it"

gauge.....was george edwards ever offered the DC job at UF? someone on the coaching board was convinced of it

miles has the perfect makeup of a CEO coach. he just needs to fricking be a CEO coach
1. he needs to take defense seriously and make moves to make our defense better. he's overvalued friendship and recruiting in his defensive coaches for too long
2. he needs to stay the frick away from our offense

cowboys assistant last i checked
he's probably doing what mattison is doing in baltimore --- putting in the 3-4 years in the league to get the nfl pension which is huge

but recruiting OOS guys is an absolute must
no doubt
LA just doesn't produce enough guys, especially as some positions
LA produces a lot of 5-11, 190 lb athletes and 6-1, 290 lb athletes
it doesn't produce a great deal of QBs or LBs, and we'll never get the depth we need by relying on in-state guys alone
