Yea, mad we were relegated to playing Iowa. Like others have said, I'd rather be playing a shitty Michigan team. At least people know who they are.

And stupid people piss me off. Guess I'll just have to dwi till January

Yes LSU has had more success in college football than Iowa. No one is going to argue that.

So LSU is a better program is what you're saying, correct? But we shouldn't talk about it? Why? Because it hurts your feelings?

Iowa has only had 1 losing season in the last 13 years.

1 more than the Tigers

Missouri is the only team on that list LSU hasn't beaten by more than 20 points. We haven't played them either. 9 wins is a terrific disappointment at LSU. But by all means, beat your chest about it.

Mr. Wolf ---

Thanks for proving my point. All I said was that fans of programs like OSU, Alabama, Michigan.. and apparently LSU dismiss other teams as inferior when in fact many of those other teams also have rich history and traditions... The only one beating their chest is you. I keep reading from your fans saying they never heard of Iowa and Iowa is a bottom tier opponent. They must have been born after the 2005 Cap One bowl...

I listed some history that Iowa fans are proud of to show that even though we don't have 10 AP national titles... we still have lots to be proud of. And you come on here like an Ohio State fan and start trying to one up me on everything.

Which basically proves my point about many of you. Trust me, you don't want to be lumped in with Ohio State fans.

And again I see you practicing a double standard. It's ok for you to talk about and be proud of your team's history, but when another team does it, it's because they are arrogant. I wasn't trying to "one up" you. I merely took each point you threw out, and gave you LSU's version, no more, no less. Yet that somehow "proved your point" and my arrogance. Just because the LSU version was better, we're the bad guys.

I'm sorry that programs like "OSU, Alabama, Michigan" , and YES, LSU have a richer history than Iowa, and that we are proud of it. Why wouldn't those programs feel superior to other teams? When you look at the all time greatest cf programs, you'll see all of those that you mentioned. Not to mention the recent success of said programs. Sorry for not avoiding facts.

No one is dismissing your traditions either. I'm sure Iowa, just like every other college program, has some great ones. But that's not the point.

I think you may be confusing our "arrogance" with your jealousy and little brother complex.

Time will show nothing of the kind. It is ALL about JFF. Period. (and not a PBO period, either).

We dismiss you because you are inferior.

What "history" does Iowa have?

I'll hang up and listen.....

History matters some. The only thing that really matters is the final score of the next game.

Unlike some Iowa fans, the one time we beat you matters little to me. It was a great win for us, but so what. We play again in less than a month.

So Iowa is now inferior to Northern Illinois?

Just trying to follow the logic here

Disagree...we are very highly thought of. Most of the sports media realizes that we have one of the nations top programs. You really think Iowa fans know something about football. They have never been relevant on the national scene. Its not that we are too good to play them, but seriously they fricking blow and we are going to rip them a new one.

30-25 win against LSU IN 2005 in what was the Florida Citrus Bowl.

Played when Nick Saban had a foot out the door heading to Miami.

Guess you forgot there was some speculation after the game about the possibility of LSU offering Coach Ferentz the HC job at LSU, and that speculation was met with tons of derision from the Iowa fanbase. Basically it went like why would Ferentz take a job at 9-3 LSU when we just beat them. Iowa was 10-2 and thought Ferentz going to LSU was a definite step down.

So 0-1 against Iowa. That's the history that matters.

The KNOW 30-25 win AGAINST LSU.

That's what they know, and that is what matters.

Anything else is BS

Maybe in your mind. What matters however is on the field and it must be proved there.

3-1 against SEC opponents, 4-1 if Mizzou is counted. It was before they joined the SEC.

1-0 against LSU

So enough of this "inferior" nonsense.

Iowa HAS a winning record against SEC teams, LSU included, so the confusion of "arrogance" is not on their part.

But I guess they are so "jealous" with their "little brother complex" of their winning record against the SEC. uh no, that doesn't make sense. little reality check, Iowa isn't the Ohio State who are what 0-9, they are 4-1

No, and apparently some people don't understand that it was in part a very vocal campaign by The Ohio State fan base, ( yeah they insist on the "The") that promoted all season the idea that a one-loss SEC team should NOT go to the NC ahead of them even though they are 0-9 against the SEC.
That's why Auburn needed Sparty to win.

This. People in this thread (and many on the Rant in general) believe that somehow national recognition = playing ability.

Yeah, remember that little no-name team we played in the Chick-fil-A Bowl last year? How did that turn out?

I've witnessed the last 4 bowl games with my own eyes, and I watched us win...once. Bowl games are not to be taken lightly even with "lowly" teams.
