No, I'd be foolish to make that comparison, as far as national championships go, you idiot.
LSU's resources, conference affiliaton, and national recognition give them a distinct advantage.
And while I'm riding unconditionally, you know...being a FAN. I'll be waiting for you to jump off at the first sign of a declining program.

I freakin claimed them too. I was there during the 90's. so what? we were down for awhile, it happens. It makes NOW all the much sweeter. Keep cheering for ULL your ENTIRE life, nobody gives a flyin F***. And guess what? Even if you sorry losers go undefeated one miracle season you won't be playing in a bowl that people give a rat's a** about. Tulane went undefeated and played in the freakin Liberty Bowl. Come to tiger stadium little loser boy, and let your team LEAVE it all on the field and lose by double digits. You see I cheer for state schools except when they play LSU, but retards like you makes me want LSU to crush yall, you rent-a-win. ANd as far as band-wagoners, yeah their for real, sure makes it harder to get a ticket on game-day, but I love where we're at. I bet I could bring my son's entire elementary school and find tickets to ULL. Yall Suck...

No, my friend...
I'm a realist fan. I can look at a program through objective glasses and not fly off the deep end when something bad goes down. To support the school I go to this Saturday does not mean I'm abandoning LSU athletics, I grew up on that shite. But, the amount of stupid responses I've seen this week has me seriously discouraged.

Not the case with the majority of LSU fans. I was born in 1984 and have been going to games since I was 3 years old. I was around and remember (although I wasn't old enough to remember all of them) the bad days. I might not be able to name players, coaches, etc. from that time...but I do remember LSU sucked. But I also remember having a blast at LSU games for a really really long time and I was a fan whether they won or lost.
I've been a Saints fan all my life too...And I've just gotten one good season out of them so far. I still cheer for them the same every week and will continue to do so for years and year.

FWIW The True Louisiana University is Tulane....But they changed the name to Tulane and ULL had ask permission to use the "UL"

I'm the anti-bandwagon fan. I bought my season tickets AFTER a losing season ('99). I grew up into adolescence in the nineties, and couldn't wait to make enough scratch to pay for my season tix. If you didn't go to UsL, you wouldn't give two shits... I can dig the school loyalty that makes you fight for better treatment for the little brother school... but this board is not a good gauge of how little feeling at all most LSU fans have towards UsL. This is a message board ,where the crazy go.

ULM likes being referred to as just a campus of UsL? . I think it's just ridiculous that a school can arbitrarily decide to change it's name to rise above a bunch of other directional schools who work under the same system just because they want to. I don't like the idea of UsL representing anything more than the city of Lafayette ,or it's region. I'm a taxpayer in this state and I help pay for that school, and unfortunately, it's athletic program.
