The 8-5 team in 2008 played in front of some jacked crowds...Bama, Uga just to name a couple. It's a shame. It's not JUST the students, the stadium as a whole. But a lot has changed with the TS atmosphere in 5 years. I first noticed a huge issue against Arky in 2009...a tight game in the 4th that went to OT...and people leaving.

A half empty student section in the 3rd quarter of a competitive game makes us look bad. You want booze, sneak it in like those of us who came before you did. You turds need to learn what loyalty and sacrifice for school pride is. Step your damn game up.... thats all we are saying.

I'm 70 years old and I still love the passion. I have that passion today and hope to have it for a long time. I never leave a game early. I don't care if its Louisiana raining, or we are winning by 60 points. I love my Tigers. During Vietnam I couldn't go to any games, or even listen to LSU games on WWL most of the time and we were rarely on TV back then. It was even difficult to get a good newspaper game recap. Man, I so happy that I live In Pensacola, only four hours away.

Im tired of these almighty old alum speaking down from their high horse about how the young guns " don't know what its like to lose" and "the student section was better when YA Tittle was playing" I mean my god. Just because they weren't around when Dinardo was shitting on the field doesn't mean students don't "appreciate" LSU today. Asking LSU students to tone down vulgarity and not be ridiculous and inappropriate is an uphill battle you wont win. WERE CHEERING FOR THE SAME TEAM HERE GUYS. If the students wanna insult the opponents mother and call her a whore then so be it. Go Tigers.

It wouldn't be a long book because it's pretty simple. Try getting in the stadium early and not leaving till you've sung the alma mater, being loud the entire time LSU is on defense (not just on 3rd downs when the play clock is under 10), and not getting songs banned that get the crowd pumped up.
I'm so old that I was a student in 2008 when we went 8-5 and had rowdier (not more vulgar)crowds that affected the outcome of games. I remember Facebook groups starting that year to get loud while the offense was still in the huddle. People were pumped to be in the stadium even though we sucked that year.
And for people who say, "Who cares what other people do? Just enjoy the game," when the crowd is weak it takes away from the atmosphere of the game and makes it less enjoyable for everyone there. The crowd feeds off of the student section, but the student section hasn't been giving the crowd much to work with.

STTDB is classless.They have ruined almost every song the bands plays now. The student section is no where near the same as it was the last 10 years. 3rd quarter of the 2nd biggest home game of the year and it was a quarter full. This dipshit who started this thread is probably another jersey shore BRCC wanna be Tiger.
