Aside from 2006 Kentucky, I am still wondering if I am ever going to see a Les Miles-coached team destroy a winning SEC opponent. Just saying. 37-9 would have been and could have been done tonight.

I started a thread trying to be positive but I will admit we look bad in a few areas... I will also admit from what we have been showing in the two games so far we have improved in those areas from Washington to Vandy... So I will stay positive that we CAN and SHOULD keep improving given the talent we have... Then again... The games are only going to start getting tougher we better pull it together fast.

I WILL GRADE LSU AFTER THE FLORIDA GAME.RIGHT NOW THE TIGERS GET AN A.EVEN AFTER UW AND AND VANDY.IF THE TIGERS HAVE TWO BIG LOSSES AFTER THE FLORIDA GAME U KNOW THE GRADE F.

Don't make the mistake of thinking you're smarter than you actually are.
We're 2-0, 1-0 in SEC. That's all you can really deduce.
If you could acurately predict the future based on two previous games, you'd be wealthy and famous. But you're not.
Enjoy the success and quit bitching (unless we start losing)>
I don't see how this applies to me at all based on what I have said.

Hey! I know that Idaho gained a lot of yards on UW tonight. I also know that some teams just match up with other teams. Maybe UW didn't take Idaho serious, who knows? However, when UW goes to play USC, I'm sure they will bring their A-game. With USC replacing 8 starters on defense, I wouldn't be too surprised to see Jake Locker pick apart the secondary if he has time to throw. With that being said, if UW can stop the run, they definitely have a chance in this game. Remember 2007? Washington only lost by less than 10 points. I rest my case.

Maybe if you've never watched a football game before.

How else do you predict the future?

I think I created a thread of insanity.

I created a thread praising Jefferson, then I mentioned that last year was not all Lee's fault (in reference to something someone said) and people started calling me "Lee-tard" the Rant is madness.
Is it baseball season yet?

LSU Slacker, just realize that there are numerous idiots on this board. Last year wasn't because of Lee. For all his mistakes, outside of 2 games (Bama and UGA), he gave us a fighting chance to win. UF, Ole Miss, and Arkansas were all lossed by the defense, plain and simple.

Another theme I find a lot in Les Miles teams' SEC games vs. weaker opponents happened again tonight:
The game was never really in doubt, but the scoreboard certainly indicated otherwise. Even though the game was 16-9 in the 4th quarter, I was just waiting for 3 more scores to happen and make the final score 37-9. I saw the same type of game last year vs. Miss State and @ SC; I have even seen it in losses with complacency destroying us - '07 UK and '08 Arkansas.
Too much talent to let a 6-6-like Vandy hang in with us on the scoreboard. As I said earlier, take out '06 UK game and there are zero blowouts of a quality SEC opponent. And I am being quite generous to a 2006 Liberty Bowl Kentucky team.

That is more like the annoying tendency to play to the competition.
We can play like shite against an inferior team but when suddenly the game is on the line on a certain drive or defensive stop, we play like a fricking NFL team and cut through them like butter.
(Obviously this is a generalization)

GeauxBob, I have to disagree with you on this. Only because Football is a team sport. In my opinion, if Ryan Perrilloux would have kept his nose clean, there is no way we would have lost these games, especially by 50 points. The offense needs to take a big part of the blame. When the offense choses to go three-and-out, pick 6's and makes random mistakes, it puts the defense in a bind. You can have the best defense in the nation, however in due time, they will eventually wear out if the offense doesn't do their part.

Yea, being positive doesn't mean we don't think we need to get better. Obviously we could do quite a few things better but i'm not going to jump ship after the 2nd game and say we are losing 5 like last year either! We could lose 5, sure, its possible. We could end up undefeated though as well. Although not probable, its not impossible. Who the f*ck knows how the season will end up? I would just like people to wait until we lose a few games before we start losing our shyt on here. Its like people want to say we are going to lose 4 games just to be the ones to say "I told you so". Good for you! You predicted one more loss than i did at the beginning of the season. I'm pretty sure the standard preseason prediction was 9-3 for the tigers, correct? Then why the f*ck are people acting like this now though even with the way we are playing it still points to 3 or 4 losses?
I mean if we were to blow UW and Vanderbilt out wouldn't it mean that we could very well end up 11-1 or 12-0? What exactly did you people expect from a consensus preseason predicted 9-3 team?

Hey I just find it funny, that in these threads they are same people that bad mouthed LSU last season.
LSU is currently 2-0 so I have a few questions regarding your comparison......
When did the majority of LSU fans start bashing the team last year? Was it........
a) after the first loss?
b) after the second loss?
c) after the third loss?
d) after the fourth loss?
e) after the fifth loss?
How much crack did you smoke when you decided that this was a good comparison?
a) One rock?
b) two rocks?
c) three rocks?
d) four rocks?
e) five rocks?
