Kids shouldn't post their personal thoughts on twitter, but I should be able to post complaints about their thoughts on a message board because I'm old.

Im not a fan of twitter, but i could care less what people say on there. TM7 is nationally known for being 1 of the biggest talkers if not the biggest in NCAAF, but what makes him different from everyone else that talks on twitter is he actually backs up everything he says on the field. So technically, he does let his play do the talking. It would be different if it was some scrub saying all this crap but its not. IMO, hes earned the right to say the things he does because of how much respect he gets as a player. And the stuff he says isnt really that bad. Its all in good fun.

but this self glorifying, narcissistic behavior that twitter enables is embarrassing.

If it bothers you that much why don't you do something about it besides bitch on here?

Yes, leave HB alone.
His trash talk reminds me of Ricky Jean-Francois and it served as great motivation in his case...
HB is a terrific football player who plays like a grown up pro, but tweets like the immature, 20 yr old that he is. It's less than endearing to many.It also can motivate opponents (here, see Jean-Francois, Ricky, above).
Cretins notwithstanding ...

Germans and STFU he's a 20 year old college kid.
It's embarassing.
Go look at your boy Eric Reid's Twitter. He's on there talking about Mike Ford's biceps, doing yardwork for his Mom, schoolwork, tests, etc.
He does it with class and humility. I get that Mathieu's home situation was completely different. I do, I really do. But at a certain point in time, you grow up. Period.

Did Billy and his friends light a bag of poop on your front porch and ring the door bell again?

I am a TM fan.
Love to watch him play...
But everytime he gets press for trash talk, it comes to the attention of various football fans across the country.
Some are "old school", white "neanderthals".
Some, in that subset are also voters for things like All Amnerica, Thorpe, Heismann, all-SEC.
And some are CEO's of companies known as "sponsors" who pay pros for "endorsements".
You can argue about whether Tyran is right or wrong to engage in this type of behavior.
However, the more immediate question is whether it is wise to do so.

I don't understand why people care what athletes put on twitter. If you honesty thinks what they tweet affects how they play on Saturdays then you are out of your mind.

Oh look, another TM7 & twitter thread. So what, let the kid trash talk. Hell, he's the best player on the team and one of the best in the country and it's his social media account. Long as he keeps making plays and winning awards, frick it.
