Agree. Not a loophole, wrong wording, but you get what I was saying. I do think it's 24 hrs per school year though, not calendar. I think his year clock starts in August. Not 100% though.

The plan is that he sits out the fall semester only. He re-enrolls for the spring and summer courses and LSU will revisit his status at that time. There will be a spot for Tyrann should he take care of business.
Look, LSU obiviously would rather only positive publicity but, publicity is publicity. TM has a brand attached to him that makes this story relative and the mystery surrounding this outcome is attractive.
It would be easy for LSU to have turned their back on TM after he has let them down multiple times but, this may shock some, they are giving him another opportunity to get back on track. Reality check! He has been a great ambassador for the university and program but, LSU had to do what it had to do. T
Things can change over the next few months to where he may end up going in a different direction for a number of different reasons. However, as of now, the plan is to get himself clean and get his head on straight and re-enrool in the spring. If he is in classes come January, the chances of him being on a short leash and on the team at the start of fall are good.

Too bad some people are addicted to ignorance. Otherwise they would educate themselves and understand what you said.

Good for him and praying nothing but the best for this kid.
You would be shocked to know what other big name in current LSU football was in rehab this summer.
It most be rampant.

You're a 40 year old who spends his time flaming the SEC rant. You came out with your "inside info" you got directly from Guilbeau's and Kleinpeter's articles. Then you claimed your close to the situation, all the while trolling "kids" because you claim to have a master's from Tulane, own a consulting firm, and live in a mansion. Yet you type like a dame 16 year old.
I smell shite.
Let me add that most 40 year olds who own consulting firms and have those type credentials aren't going back and forth with "kids" on message boards. Of course, what do I know? He might be an exception to the rule. But I seriously doubt it.

Don't understand why you're still posting. You have zero inside info. You are seriously making yourself look very dumb.

This whole thread is a circle jerk based mostly on VC and his trolling BS.
Can't believe the Rant sometimes.

What does that say about McNeese. He would rather go to a drug rehab center than go there
Not really. He would rather rebuild his reputation and maybe become a better person than gloss it all over and play football again this year.

thanks for sharing this information, I'm glad we actually have some administrators on the board sharing the "plan" with us....

"As crazy as it sounds, if addiction is an illness and he's getting treatment this fall, I don't understand why he couldn't get a medical redshirt. Is there any legal precedence here?"
If he's not in school why does it matter if he redshirts? How could you redshirt?

"If my information is correct, he will not play for LSU again". Yet, you have no inside source according to your often repeated words. As is the phrase "I am only speaking from the LSU perspective". That implies a source as well. Or else it is all just your OPINION as you put it. And get past insulting everyone by calling everyone who disagrees with you a kid. I am in my 60's, have a masters degree, own my own successful business & I disagree with you as well. A phrase comes to mind; "you, sir, are a pompus arse".

I'm starting to believe he is consulted on how to become one.
Oh and BOOM.

I think people are getting to focused on the what the root of his bad ways are. "Is it just weed, man that is weak?" "He must be using something harder." "I bet he is addicted sex and marijuana."
Bottomline, buddy needs to lay off the dope and get his head on straight. Focus on the prize and not get lost in the moment. Great things happening are at his finger tips, he has to know how to handle himself and what to do with it. He has a life coach now to help show the way!

never one time said I didn't have a source.....only thing I said in terms of inside information is that I have no idea nor have I ever had any information (other than red) on what Tm was thinking and planning to do. What TM does or what he is thinking is something I have never claimed to know. The stance of LSU is another matter. I'd sure like to know what you disagree with? I'm not sure you do yourself, other than to just start shite.
I don't believe you are 60 and have an mba...or masters degree.....because you missed the reading comprehension completely if you do.....in the aspect of I didn't have sources for the status of TM. IMO...that's pretty to see the where I was coming from from the LSU side.

Rehab centers aren't just for drugs........there are for changing numerous behavioral aspects of ones life besides addiction i.e. stress coping, balancing rigors of your goals, etc.
