Assuming his only substance "abuse" was pot, rehab will not "clean up his act" in the eyes of the NFL. They are aware that many, many kids smoke these days. They are not a bunch of naive dumbasses. Their problem with TM isnt the actual act of smoking, instead it's his inability to follow team rules after being warned time and time again. Rehab will not fix this. Military boot camp might tho. He should enlist.....

It's a good PR move, IMO. However, if it's just for pot, it is kinda lame.

Why do people think this is cool to post.

As has been pointed out, call it rehab, doing intense thearopy, or whatever makes you happy. The most important thing is he is going to get help for something that is obviously an issue for him.

as someone stated above rehab is about 95% treating the behavioral issues that cause someone to rely on a substance....it is intensive life counseling for x amount of days

Let's just say I'm a lot closer to the situation than you might suspect. I can honestly say, I haven't talked to anyone but 19 and 20 year olds here. It is apparent that you guys think you know it all. I'll let you go ahead and run with that. Life has a way of bringing us all back down to earth at some point. Later kid.

I do, however, take the direct quotes of a senior official making a bold statement in no uncertain terms that TM will not be playing again at LSU. That, I take pretty seriously. As I said...I'm a little closer to this than you think. I'll tell you what, if I'm wrong...I'll never post again on the Rant......and I'm not even asking you to wager anything...I'm that right.

Your own post..........Stupid MO FO.

You are about as close to this situation as I am to Jessica Biel's arse.

I disagree here.....it shows that he is willing to put forth the effort to get his life straight...whether PR move or not. It's kind of like a college education to a certain degree.....while grades are important, and obviously learning something is important, most employers (including myself) look at it as if you had the discipline to actually obtain a college degree, that says something about your drive and ambition.....assuming it is from a respectable school and not a "pay for diploma" school. I do agree they are not a bunch of naive dumbasses....but the move, followed by staying clean....at least sends a message. TM has a rough road ahead of him imo, especially when he gets ahold of some $$. His decision making obviously needs major improvement....

If he actually goes to rehab and commits to it, I wish him all the success in the world. As for as him ever playing ball at LSU again (as opposed to taking a shot at the NFL) I highly doubt that will happen. Time for fans to move on (the delusional ones anyway...the rest of us have ).

I highly doubt I will win the lottery too, but there is still a chance.

The point is that no one can speculate on TM7 career . It's been a roller coaster ride from the beginning of his recruitment until now.

I understand your desire to "move forward" and it my eyes everyone is, expect the douchebags telling us what they know, how they would do things, and what their inside info is telling them.

What does that say about McNeese. He would rather go to a drug rehab center than go there.

ANYONE...and I mean anyone with just a half a brain can clearly see that I never said I had any inside information about TM. I know nothing about him and his side, which has been stated many times on here. Apparently you left the threads a few days ago when the rubber hit the road...wow...you just made yourself look really bad trying to use these quotes as an indication that I said I have inside information on TM.

What is amazing to me, is that you signed up in 2003...so that at least makes you about late 20's or early 30's....and you still have this mentality. wow....

I won't waste my time on some of you anymore...but I will ask you again to point out to me EXACTLY where what I said is wrong? I'll be waiting. And just to clarify my information:

1.) LSU kicked TM off team (permanently)
2.) LSU officials spoke out...recanted due to legal issues/being very careful
3.) LSU expected TM to transfer and be a done deal and Miles said as much
4.) LSU washed hands of TM...enough is enough
5.) TM did not transfer, and his interest became to rejoin the team...which LSU was not expecting...creating some issues for LSU
6.) LSU does not want him back and nothing has changed.

Not very difficult to see....even by people such as Red and dmag. Unfortunate that you can't step outside the box. Have a good one "force"

Like I said, Shut the frick up. It's only getting worse for you. Semantics can't bail you out of the hole you've dug for yourself. Of course you didn't identify your source or which side.......BUT, you did state you had some.....

You are a complete message board stereotype. You've gone through a transformation on here that's well documented.

Get over it.

What? If somebody wants to go to rehab to help themselves and it also helps their image at the same time, then I think it is a good move, career wise. Whether you are Tiger Woods going to sex rehab or the Healing Place Church preacher going on "sabattical for exhaustion", either way...it's a smart move!
