You picked the wrong side of the ball to argue this. I'd agree with you on offense for the most part, but they play good defense this year

LSU plays pretty solid D under Trent. Try again.

Complain about the offense. You would actually have a point.

Not yet. Don't get too excited by beating the bottom teams of the SEC. Yes LSU has improved, but they are no final four team. Johnson has had 4 years and has not produced a consistent winner.

But you admit we have improved? Doesn't that mean he seems to be righting the ship and getting our program on more stable footing?

Nobody expected more than an average team this year. It takes time to build a program. He's doing it the right way.

I don't see a huge lack of talent. I see a team poorly coached in the very basic fundamentals of team and individual one-on-one defense.

The team has some pretty good shooters but they need someone focusing on their shot execution and working with them on their shooting. They are undisciplined in their shot execution.

A little attention to some details would go a very long way with this team.

Yeah, I think I might have agreed with his argument Trent's first 3 years, but he surprised me by making several fundamental changes in the way he taught defense and they are much better IMHO on that side of the court.

I thought the most solid player on the floor today was Storm Warren. He plays excellent defense, takes good look shots on offense, and doesn't make bad decisions on either end of the floor. He looked great today. Without him we'd be in very serious trouble.

Every shot Storm hit in the second half was huge. He played very well today. He always brings max effort, but not always great efficiency. But he brought both today.

. So if Houston Nutt went O for 9 in an Ole Miss season, and won the last two... They'd say he was righting the ship? Lol

If this was CLM, he would be long gone.

Hell, Smoke did a better coaching job than Trent.

Sorry, im not a fan of TJ.

Alleva needs to make da move!

LSU is 16-10, 6-6 with four more winnable games left. That Houston Nutt example has no connection.

It was a tough two seasons and things are going in the right direction. And we're going to be better next season.

Yea, 2-9 in football is the exact same thing as 16-10 (6-6) in basketball, you fricking dolt. Awful comparison, kill yourself dipshit.

no one is mentioning that hamilton had a subpar performance today. despite that, tigers win on the road. that's a good sign when one player has an off day and gets picked up by everyone else.

still bothered by our willingness to settle for bigs taking long, fade away jumpers. it has gotten better in the last several games though.

one other small thing, stringer fails to pass to the big man on the 2 man screen.

tigers played good d today, kept their composure, fought for rebounds, for the most part had good shot selection. solid team in a solid conference and the record will start to reflect that.

Are you really that ignorant? Our program was in the gutter thanks to John Brady and it's taking time to build it back up. We are getting better as a program, and if you can't see that you need to just stop following Lsu basketball.

Recruiting needs to be fixed. I can't figure out what the offensive is doing part of the time. At least we didn't shot about 5 threes in a row without making an extra pass today. Saying this I see improvement and maybe with better guard play the ship will right itself on offense.

He's actually done that in several games this year where he started very slowly and came on late in the game. Heck he did that against State Tuesday and the Marquette game to name two.

My biggest pet Peeve that Trent allows this. We are getting better but still a bit too much.

Would everyone just enjoy the rest of the season and possibly next season. We were the South Carolina of the this conference the last 2 years, and it is showing we have definitely upgraded the talent since the year after our SEC championship. Just sit back and give it time and see if success will build on itself.

exactly WHOSE fault is it that we have such a dearth of talent over the last 3 years with little hope of that changing anytime soon?
