If LSU beats Fla. this weekend, Coach Miles will be looked upon as a good coach, even though his coaching ability will not have changed in one weeks time.
Coach Miles should get as much credit for special teams and our defense as he gets blame for our offense.
Coach Miles doesn't embarass me as much as the fans leaving games in the third quarter.
Coach Miles doesn't embarass me as much as the pictures of the trash left behind on campus after games.
Coach Miles has treated and respected LSU much more than the fan base has treated and respected him.
LSU is 5-0 and I have a "desire and want" to enjoy this football season. LSU will not play in Nat Champ game every year. I refuse to be miserable every year they do not play in it.
Had to get a few things off my chest. Living out here I must read websites to keep up with LSU. What I would give to be able to tailgate and attend football games at LSU. It is a privelege, not a right. ENJOY IT!!
79ABTEXTIGER, your biggest mistake is that you want to enjoy LSU football. You see in order to have credibility to post here, you first need to be able to be the biggest critic in the world. It doesn't matter what your qualifications are, as long as you can bitch about everything. For instance, is Les Miles doing a good job? The shortest and most obvious answer, NO!!!! But people like you and I don't wake up every morning and hate our lives because of it. We are smart enough to know Miles will be here for at least through the 2011 season. There is a large minority of the "expert fans that knows everything that any LSU coach should do, spends more money than you do, attends more games than you do" that have their fingers crossed every game, hoping LSU loses and loses big. You see thats the fans you are talking about, but their arrogance doesn't allow them to see who they are.

Mack Brown had a clock manangement "meltdown" in Big 12 champ game against NEB last year that could have cost them Nat Champ. I did not hear anyone call him a dumbass and want him fired.
You honestly don't believe that a kid making a play with time on the clock is ANYWHERE near the play calling and substitution issues we have had toward the end of the games?
UT vs Nebraska - Colt McCoy throws ball out of bounds with :01 on the clock..legit
LSU vs Ole Miss - need 3 points to win and 1st and 10 on the opponennts 45...3 plays and a prayer
LSU vs Tennessee 1st and goal needing 4 and you run 2 plays...
yeah...they are about equal...

What did you say about Miles when we scored with 3 seconds left against Auburn in 2007. I bet you weren't licking Les miles balls the way you're doing Mack Brown.

Colt threw ball out of bounds with 0:00 left on clock. Review put :01 back on. Wasn't comparing UT/Neb vs LSU/Tenn, you asked what would tea sippers do if Mack had clock management issues. He did.

I concur, but they will go undefeated this year.

GulfCoast...you must be having a bad day already...
I loathe UT...so no "ball licking" here...
and again...the two are not even comparable....

half these idiots do not know they are not helping recruiting at all more so now with all the bad press we are getting!!!
Most people on TD just vent their frustrations with what is happening. The general public gets their perception of Miles and LSU football from local sportscasters, sports talk shows and national TV sport shows. The perception has long been cast before anyone post about LSU on TD.Don't blame half the idiots on TD,blame Miles and coaching staff for not just addressing the issues but for not solving them.Again, the perception of LSU football and Les Miles is formed long before anyone makes a post on this board.

You do realize that as bad as Florida is this year, they're are still tons better than any of the 5 teams that we've beaten so far this season.
what a dumbass statement. Florida is down this year, but not a bad team. Florida vs Bama was a very deceiving game. It looked like Florida was run over by Bama, but the stats were the same. Except for turnovers, Fla 4 Bama 0. Bama still wins but the score would've been alot closer.

No, he does nothing with defense or special teams.

yes they are. Les deserves all the critisism he gets, because there is a pattern there. Colt was given instructions by Brown to throw the ball away if a receiver wasn't open, he did and if it wasn't for instant replay the game was over. Now did you critisize Brown the same way you critisize Miles, I think not.

This is a great post. Thanks for posting it.
I also like your retort - "you aren't a coach yet you criticize coaching."

They sure the hell weren't thinking about what was going to be posted on TD.As I said, most people get their perception of Les Miles and LSU football from other sources not from half the idiots on TD. I'm sure they got their perception from what they saw on TV and the comments from other sports venues.

The 2007 win against Auburn was pure luck. That would never happen again in 100years!
