It’s been well known he would be a top 5 pick for most of this season. Of course he was going to go pro. It seems highly unlikely that anyone was blindsided by this.

If it actually did blindside O then he’s got bigger problems than I thought

The program is in big trouble if true.

Greedy played soft all year to avoid injury. He could just play the same way and support his teammates but he is living up to his name as someone earlier posted.
He should be on the field with his teammates

No, it changes what he is willing to risk his health for. Any competitor wants to compete for a championship this is the equivalent of a preseason nfl game.

O wasn’t blindsided by him choosing to go pro, or really even that he’s chosen to skip the bowl. But if you listen to the interview with O it seems pretty clear he was blindsided by the timing of that announcement, which kind of goes along with the sentiments of the OP.

Frankly, I agree with the OP to some degree. He SHOULD turn pro and I have no issue with him skipping the bowl, but his announcement today upstages his teammates. Rather that the story being LSU going to the Fiesta Bowl, it quickly turns to one of their top players choosing not to play.

I wonder if he is too scared to drive his vehicle. We all remember Chad Jones.

Take out and insurance policy for 20 million and don't sell out your teammates.
