He said that’s the strategy CPM used in 2009 when we won it all.

we had the same pitching rotation in 2009 for literally the entire season. Your niece's husband's best friend's brother who may or may not have been a player at some point may have said that, but that is not the strategy we used in 2009. Coleman was our Friday starter, Ranaudo Saturday, and Austin Ross Sunday. We did not have a TBD on Sundays or anything in between. The ONLY time we deviated was in the championship series in Omaha and that was starting Ross against Texas' AA in game 2 because Ranaudo needed another day's rest (and winning game 1 made that easier), and then we let Coleman close game 3 because we were up big and it was the right thing to do for a 4 year player like Coleman.

LSU is what they are at this point which is mediocre. They have to many holes in the lineup and not enough pitching to make a run in post season. I am pulling for them just as much but my expectations for this year in post season is low.

i'm sad to say I agree with this. BUT, I would still like to play the role of spoiler and win some big games. play like "we may be having a down year but we're still LSU; so frick you".

Actually ranaufo was the friday guy that year and coleman pitched saturdays. He would occassionally close on fridays and those times his start would be pushed back to sunday because we didnt have bullpen depth and he had essentially a rubber arm

Man that was a fun season. How many times we jumped on teams in the first inning with a big lead and never looked back. I just felt all season long that they were special and had a good chance to play for it all.

Hess would be fine if Dunn would decide to use both sides of the plate. A pitcher who throws mid 90's in college and never throws inside is stupid! Hess could easy be giving LSU 7 to 8 innings a game.

Yes he can. If he hits a batter or two oh well it beats batters sitting comfortable and driving balls right center gap all day long.
