Being a head coach goes way beyond X’s and O’s. It’s about overall management of the organization. Time to give O credit for his CEO moves that bettered the organization.

Canada ouster and Ensminger hire
Burrow recruitment even though it may cost you some QBs
Signing Tracy to a one year scholarship
Swallowing pride and throwing the bank to keep Aranda
Hiring consultants
Hiring special teams coordinator
Finding a kickoff specialist
Late signing of Jefferson last year
Bringing in a 70+ yr coach for WRs

All tough decisions. All were the right move.

We comin’

Still not sold on Ensminger as a viable long term option at OC.

The WRs have had issues with drops but came through in the clutch big time yesterday so jury still out on the 70 year old WR coach.

Can’t really argue with any of the other points.

Clock and game management alone are huge improvements under CEO.

Swallowing pride?

I don't understand this one. What does he have to be proud about in regards to Aranda. He knows his livelihood depends on him.

If he let Aranda go to A&M he would be out in short order.

Coaches have huge egos. A lot of head coaches wouldn’t be cool with the idea of a coordinator making almost as much as the HC.

I have a feeling the WR coach taught them how to catch.

He improved the QB position, the special teams, and the defense has beaucoup depth.

I don’t blame people for doubting him but there’s no denying he addressed weaknesses and made them stronger. In the case of special teams, night and day.

Kudos to CEO

are you saying this because of his age or his abilities.

Just responding to the wording in the OP.

I don’t hive a damn about his age if he gets the job done.

WRs have been inconsistent so far this year. Fortunately they were at their best in the 4th quarter.

21 unanswered points to Auburn and I was beginning to believe that he did go to A&M. We are to good up front to allow multiple times a RB score up the middle on this defense in the red zone. Need to fix it!

I agree. While I'm on the side of Sullivan will be a big plus. Huge in fact (that will be the difference in our QB play).

I'm not really ready to say he's getting it done yet because of what Memphis mentioned- inconsistency.

It does look like the WRs are coachable AND Sullivan is identifying issues and fixing them however. The WRs were choosing their routes much better and on clear outs selling it better.

Coach O revamped the roster and filled in every hole with transfers, juco, and pretty damn good recruiting classes.

Agree with your list, but holding off on this one right now, mostly because we've only played 3 games and the offense still has a lot of room to improve.

That said, I generally liked the playcalling yesterday and it made me feel like the offense is trending in the right direction.

There's a ton of absent people from this board today. So negative since before the season started and just lurking waiting on something bad to happen. The rest of us will still be here no matter what and access things after the season.
