He needs to be getting at least 50% of the carries. He’s more fluid and versatile than Brossette.

I appreciate Nick’s effort but he’s more of a straight line runner. He’s good when the primary hole or an immediate cut back is there.

His best run yesterday he did a jump step in the hole on a penetrating tackle and then found an opening for a great pickup. I don't see him as straight line at all. He's fluid and has vision but not incredibly explosive.

Disagree. Should still be Nick, Clyde, and some of Fournette.

Chris Curry should only ever get garbage time carries. He's not been impressive so far at all. He's not ready.

CEH has excellent field vision. He sees lanes opening just before they do and makes the right adjustments

I think they are all doing a great job collectively. Don't hate on Nick he has earned his job at the starter.

I don’t see why we need a primary ball carrier. Use them both, feed the hot hand, take the what defense gives you, make them defend both type of runners, etc.

All evidence to the contrary. He is known for his vision and patience to see the hole and make the correct cuts. He's not a speed burner but neither is CEH. They compliment each other.
Neither of them is elite but both are solid.

If you rewatch his ten or so runs for some reason the offensive line doesn’t block well when he gets the ball. Last night he got blown up as soon as he got the ball. He could still be a good one for sure with more opportunity.

I like Nick, but I feel like successful running plays with him is a more narrow selection. He is good about picking his spot and finishing runs. He’s been awesome in pass protection and as a lead blocker on Joe’s runs. Time to get Him lined up as FB with Clyde deep back on some snaps.

Not questioning your viewpoint, but coach is doing a good job of mixing their carries and Brossette is is going to be the MVP in some upcoming games. He is blessed by great vision, I believe because he is a slower back. I think in some ways he's a better back than Leonard Fournette was because he hit holes too quickly and got stuffed an awful lot, and still does in NFL. I think Nick may have more success against AlObama than Fournette did.

I agree :Nick Brossette has better vision than CEH and has break-away speed. Nick is the man,so don't change horses in the middle of the stream. Nick needs more carries and he catches the ball out of the backfield. Need more screens to backs out of the backfield.

NB 4 is also an amazing blocker especially with pass protection...this alone should keep him as the main back.

He’s the human version of Leonard Fournette.

so you want him to be the guy or you want him to split?

Precisely right. Another poster said

which is exactly the opposite of what I've seen, with a few exceptions, from CEH. Though the times he was better were in the last 2 games.

Running back by committee is the answer. I'd like to see Provens in there too. If you watch hi HS film, he was great hands and seems to be able to split defenders really well, of course that was high school.

Why don't we throw to our backs more...i don't get this aspect of our offense...not just a screen what about crossing routes...
We don't seem to use the middle of the field enough in our passing attack...but it is getting better since we now have a quaterback

Last night I’m sorry to say Brossette looked timid hiting the holes. Tiptoeing in fact. Clyde was hitting the holes 10x better and faster than Brossette.

He doesn't have the inside run game to be the primary guy. He's the perfect complementary guy. Kinda like Kamara with the Saints, I'm not sure I want to give him 25 carries a game all of a sudden.

None of these backs should get 50% of the load. We’ll keep rotating, keeping fresh guys, and we’ll be good. I’m pleased with the running back talent. It’s not where it should be, but it’s better than I expected.

I think Curry will be just fine. Wait and see.
