You're just one excuse after the next. Of course not many 60 something year old coaches get power 5 jobs BECAUSE HOW MANY GUYS LIKE MILES ARE EVEN LOOKING FOR JOBS? It's not like there's some huge supply of 60 something year old pretty successful national championship winning head coaches looking for jobs. Secondly, I've named a few already. Why did South Carolina hire Lou holtz and Steve Spurrier?
You're just using age as a cop out. Miles is not on his death bed and programs know that. He's showed up on more than a few coaching search lists this offseason, yet STILL did not get offered a job. If age was any real factor to them they wouldnt even be considering him. The fact is his offenses are the reason he couldnt get a job. Nick Saban would be hired by ANYONE tomorrow if he was fired today, nobody gives a shite about age if you're good.
Also, the fact you cant see Miles won games here MOSTLY because of elite talent and usually great defensive coordinators is mind boggling. If he was doing his job his last few years, teams loaded with talent wouldnt be losing 3-5 games a year and he wouldnt be without a job now. A team with Mettenberger, OBJr, Landry and Hill lost THREE GAMES. That's just criminal.
The fact is there was clear DECLINE after 2011 in the program. Miles wasn't getting his way out of it due to his own stubborness. He had the talent, he had the coaches, he decided he was going to do things his way, which guess what, doesnt look great when it doesnt succeed and now you're looking for a new job. We were guaranteed to lose at least 3 games a year because Miles didn't want to listen to what everyone was telling him and the game was passing him by. Even in 2011, when he got the perfect storm of the best defense in school history and ridiculous special teams play, he got to ride that all the way to the NCG until his piece of shite offense got us embarrassed on the national stage and we got shut out 21-0.

Where are all these consistent powerhouse programs without elite talent? Its football ignorant posters like you that give lsu posters a bad name. Some how in your mind you think lsu's last 5 years were so bad that one of the most accomplished coaches in sec history cant get a job because of it. You dismiss age yet cant name a 63 year old coach hired in the last decade.
Also let know what Nick Saban ever won without talent. Do you remember his first years at lsu and bama?
Educate yourself instead of regurgitating bull shite rant posts from other football ignorant posters.

Look in not saying his offense isnt a reason. It may be the 2nd biggest reason. But his age is the biggest road block
This statement right there shows your stupidity . if miles was 50 and ran this shitty offense the only one hiring him is army. Age had no impact on a big school hiring him. His stubbornness, lack of gametime adjustments and no ability to tutor a qb cost him his job. If art briles had not been so stupid off the field you don't think at least 4 or 5 power schools wouldn't have been calling him? even at his age.we know you love you some les miles but the man was fired for a reason time to accept it.

You have no fricking clue what youre talking about. Do you know how many shite coaches get hired 3 or 4 times?

Then where are all the coaches miles age or older getting p5 job offers?
Miles has been more successful than his predecessor at every stop. Fact.

Rick let this shite go bra. Jim Grobe was hired at 63(Baylor) and Frank Solich at 60 which is no different than 63. Nobody wants Miles plain and simple

Try to look shite up before posting ignorant shite. Lsu's 2015 offense didnt look putrid all year and facts(no one cares about you alcoholic opinions)prove it.
YPG mean NOTHING if you lose.....
LEARN something about football besides stats and THEN get back to me... If you think getting 500 yards in A game and STILL lose by 21 means anything then you are BEYOND stupid..........

Not to mention I've mentioned Holtz and Spurrier at USC. This guy has no clue what he's talking about. Miles could easily coach for a long time still, age isn't holding him back, it's his offense.
This guy doesn't want to accept the fact Miles didn't get a job simply because of his offense he wants to run and refused to change here when faced with keeping his job or not. He's just making up every excuse in the book for him.

NO they don't... they may bring in A sub that brings the play in, BUT they don't have the WHOLE offense look at the sideline to see where they should be....

He would be the oldest coach hired at a p5 program in a decade. Posters like you keep saying it doesmt matter yet cant name it once in the last decade. There are 2 coaches older than miles out of 126 teams and youre sitting here saying it doesnt fly. Good god.
WOW...... You have ZERO clue.... OK ,,MILES is A fantastic coach who teams should be drolling over... But yet YOU say his age is the major problem.. AGAIN.. You make it sound like Miles is somekind of A GREAT COACH which you have said that he ISN'T A great coach.... Sory buttfrick... You can't have it both ways... Your Miles LOVEFEST is long overdue to be over and you want people to think you are NOT defending him... You have serious mental issues...
BUT I am DONE talking about A coach that got fired from A GREAT JOB because he was hard headed and would not change...
AGAIN LSU won MORE games with the talent on the roster MORE than the coaching they got from MIles.....
If Coach O fails it could be expected... BUT IF LSU goes like 11-2 next year... You won't be able to say shite.. Just like the excuses you make about Miles.... BUT that will just show that coach O did A better job with Miles talent than MIles could...
Should you be At Miles house serving his dinner about this time??????????????????

And Mike Riley was hired at Nebraska at age 61. And I haven't even researched any others, I'm sure we'd find more.
Miles' age ain't the problem.

THIS is the pat of football YOU don't understand... Miles would NOT have been as goodat LSU without the way thigs were when he got here... e kept it going, sure... Saban is LIGHT YEARS A better coach than Miles ON and OFF the field... If you can't see this then you really have his pecker in your mouth.......

LSU is the only team in the country that annually can run the athletes out that can even remotely match up with Bama. With a legitimate scheme we have a real shot to change the tide, pun intended.

The problem with Ricks argument is he ignores the last few years. At one point Miles win pct in the sec was higher than Sabans at LSU but that's no longer the case and Rick refuses to acknowledge that. Once he had a fair argument but now that the book is closed the only thing he did better than Saban at LSU is beat up on rent a win teams, which he played more of, and fringe ranked teams. Sabans SEC record was better his record vs top 10 and top 5 teams is better and he won titles both SEC and National at a more frequent rate then you look at the state of the program when each left and it's not even close. Now that the story is over for both guys here Miles falls short. But Miles is Ricks hero he's never going to look at his career objectively.

You'll forever be a LM fan for him starting a second string SWAC QB that you compared to Brett Favre for all those miserable seasons. The two of you were literally the only two with a low enough IQ to think he should be trying to direct a D1 program.

This is your opinion.
He took a program with 1 winning season in the previous 12 years and had them winning 8&9 games.

At no point did i say Miles was a better coach than Saban. I said he had more SUCCESS than his predecessor at every stop.

You posted earlier that Bama doesnt look to the sideline for the next play and audible and I posted FACTS that once again proves you dont know shite about football.

3 years is different. Most coaches get 3 years to show improvement.
