not right now he isn't. that's why he isn't leaving. Besides, that LB spot isn't for your average LB. He has to be able to cover in the pass game which I think CJ can do well enough to play that spot.

How many LSU fans have become alcoholics because of this?

The reaction to this thread is hilarious. Even the title is misleading. According to a school official who talked to Les (LSU Sports Information?), the coaching staff is staying as is. As is for how long? Like they would tell us now if any changes were official before an announcement. And it's really possible that any changes on the horizon are not yet official.
If you guys really believe this is firm information from someone at LSU.... There is too much smoke for a change NOT to happen. The latter is just my opinion.

I did hear back from a school official today, who had spoken to Les this afternoon about his very issue---he says coaching staff will remain as is.

What are all those posts that keep getting deleted?

BTW - how could this Fletch guy not be activated yet? What's taking so long?

Exactly none. If you ask how many have upped their drinking because of this, that is another matter.

True. Okay, how many now wake up and pour a drink first thing in the morning because of this?
(Is that better?)

Exactly This.
There can be HR issues that have to be resolved. Besides, Les is incapable of giving a straight answer, so don't expect one over the phone.
Les may want a prepared statement to break the story, not just a: "Yeah, the Turk is going to be here tomorrow."

I'm in! I'm somebody! Thanks for approving me, guys.
Look, in our business, we ALL want to get the story out there first---but accurately. i haven't mentioned anything about my "tip" on television--using my daily radio/tv/web show this morning as an outlet to vent. My idea of sportsTalk radio is, it's a group of folks sitting around a bar talking sports. Some guys know more than others, some less. But all are interested. That's what my show is.
I mentioned the "tip" and footnoted it with the emergency brake statement indicating that it WAS still a rumor without any verification from LSU.
Unfortunately, that part of the convo didn't make it onto TigerRant until Cauble passed along my e-mail (Thanks, Cauble! Good dude, by the way that Mikey C.).
Personally, i believe the wildfire spread b/c Tiger fans can see the offensive problems as well as anyone else. Anyone who has seen Reuben Randle or Russell Shepard play at full speed knows the talent that's available for Gary. But we don't understand why it wasn't utilized.
Since joining the broadcast industry 15 years ago after five years as the worst life insurance salesman in history, my motto regarding coaches has been and will continue to be: They are being paid to win. Therefore, they HAVE to be doing all they can in order to place their team in position to win. Sometimes (oftentimes?), it doesn't jibe with my viewpoint. But that doesn't make THEM wrong or ME right. As a contributor to the Baton Rouge/LSU economy on a more regular basis now that a beloved offspring is dropping classes w/o my knowledge (remaining a full-time student, though!), I feel your pain. Look at it this way---growing up a Razorback Fan, we're still clinging to a mythical title the year before my birth. Two titles in seven years? My older brothers and Dad would die happy Hog fans with that kind of track record.
Again, I hate that this has grown so quickly... looking forward to checking out the place more often now that i'm a member. Hmmm, that's my philosophy on the hair club as well!
