Tigers needed to be in SEC tournament this year, I believe they win. I also believe they win 1st playoff and possibly second playoff, they were going to improve very fast but bad coaching, stupid stealing with no hit and run and thrown out and not teaching the players how to foul balls off to stay alive, whole lot of bad coaching.

The NCAA has ruined college baseball. I watched last night only because it was an SEC final. BORING! Bring back the bats idiots! I would not be surprised if viewing is down.

Ratings for Game 1 were up over last year's Game 1, but not as much as LSU-Texas 2 years ago.

We also could have won it in '87 if not for one pitch by Ben McDonald

I think that is great although I am surprised.
I just loved the college game and I love offense. It's my preference and my opinion. If we hit 8 out the park in a game I think that's awesome.
If I want to watch the big's I'll turn it on. It's just not for me.

Last night's game (hell, the entire CWS) was anything but boring.

I think that the bats have also lessened the impact of good vs. really good pitching. I saw many pitches in this CWS that were "mistakes" left over the plate, etc. Those pitches would result in fly balls.

Further, because the bats are so weak, pitchers can pound the strke zone with little fear.

With these bats and the level of the average hitter in college baseball, those pitchers were not punished by have poor location on those pitches.

Looks like a difference of opinion. I'm good with that.

98 Team just had bad luck. Nothing you can do about that, but yeah...they should have actually won 96-00 in my opinion.

That's a very true analogy.

In response to another's post, what cost us in the first loss to USC was the ground ball to Furniss with the bases loaded and 1 out which should have been a double play. He went to 2nd instead of home, ala Wingo 2 nights ago (yes, there were no outs and Wingo HAD to go home but Furniss still should have gone home also) and short hopped a ball to Josh Dalton allowing the man on 3rd to score. Another batter scored in that inning which ultimately cost us. The score was 5-4.

In response to the post claiming that we should have won 96-00, you must have forgotten how badly Bama bitch-slapped us in the Supers in 99.

I do believe we should have won in 98 but the difference was better pitching by USC.
