The parody in this conference is really starting to show! It sure would be amazing if we ended up playing @Kentucky to decide who gets the 1 seed.
I know A&M has the best chance but just let me dream.

If we play like we did in the first half tonight and somehow get Hornsby and Epps back healthy, we have a decent shot now that Blakeney has really exploded

Do not understand how we blow so bad at basketball as a conference.

this might be the deepest the league has been in some time. I wouldn't say the SEC blows. and even when we were a two team league, we have a few natty's in the case over the last 15 years....

I just think with the money pool and talent in the region we should be close to an elite conference.

LSU is not a bubble team because of terrible OOC losses.......we repair 3 of those losses and we are sitting pretty due to our conference play.

In a way, being close to a bye in the SEC tourney isn't a good thing. I don't think conference standings are going to count for much of anything, and what LSU needs is wins. Avoiding a bye means getting a chance at more W's.

So yeah, let's be further away from an automatic berth...makes sense.

Lsu is likely going to get a bye assuming we beat Missouri....vandy has to go to a&m and we own the tiebreaker. Should put us at the 4th seed

If you think we go into Rupp and win you are a freaking idiot! We hadn't won there but like once in my lifetime. Not until we get a better coach.

I don't follow basketball as much as many of you, so forgive me. Football and baseball? Yes, I'm in. So LSU basketball is fighting to be among the top 65? And that's a big accomplishment? Shouldn't it be the minimum?

It doesn't work like that, half the spots are for auto bids and there are a slew of small conferences. The bubbles teams are not the 69th-73rd best teams. With the talent this season, though, we were all disappointed this month to be talking bubble and not seeding.

I'm not so much worried about this as far as the NCAA tournament goes. We need to be thinking about how inconsistent the whole conference is. We seriously have just as good a chance at winning the SEC tourney as any other team. Might as well put all our eggs in that basket. We'll either win it or lose first round horribly.
