The truth, as always, is somewhere in between.

The Truth:

JaMarcus Russell threw 797 total passes, completed 493 of them, had 52 TDs & 21 INTs, for and a 61.8% completion rate.

Made SEC player of the week a few times, made 1 ALL-SEC Team.

The truth:

If you think Matt Flynn was a better QB than JaMarcus Russell while at LSU, you are a god damn moron.

People that put individual players performances above team goals are "God damn Morons".

So are you one of these people who thinks Matt Stafford is a better QB than Tim Tebow because he won more games last year?

individual performances are separate from team performances, as there are 22 non-special teams individuals on a team. team stats are for judging teams, and individual stats are for judging individuals

No. I'm one of those people who doesn't give a shite which of the SEC East QB's have better stats. LSU plays both, maybe one of them can hold back the tears..

Slowflo,

You've never explained why Tommy Hodson was a 4 time first team All-SEC, and Jamarcus was first team All-SEC only once. Your arguments for JR having the greatest season ever for a LSU quarterback are much better than him being the greatest QB in LSU history.

Greatest QB in LSU history is a career award, and Hodson's career was much greater.

Which is why Bert Jones is an overrated sack of shite right? I mean the guy could fling it 100 yards but what else?

No.

But one fluke vote doesn't change four years of votes. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "Tommy Hodson would never had been challenged for the QB spot by Marcus Randall."

That also doesn't take into account other factors such as the competition etc. etc.
