Why not do this from the beginning if we JUST resurfaced the NEZ and put up the columns.

Like I said, i don't care about the color. It looks fine. It's the principle that these people couldn't get anything to match. Nothing.

the north paint was done before everything else. everything since the north has been more consistent in color. everything else matches the rest of the buildings at the school as well. i think the NEZ paint was just a quick fix so the old stained concrete didn't look so shitty with the new windows and everything else around the stadium. but like i said, that will be a very easy thing to fix and not expensive

I mean there are literally 4 different colors on 3 sides of the stadium.

NEZ gray
Gate columns weird tan
West upper ugly fake brick brown
SEZ tan.

And then the sez offices look different to me as well but I don't know if that's finished

Not going to jump into the great color debate, but from what I've seen while walking around the stadium, color of the NEZ =/= color of the gates =/= color of the SEZ.

The stucco on the gates has much more of a brownish hue than what I've seen on the SEZ.

I guess lsu just wants to make claim to be the only stadium in college football with a stucco facade. At least they are keeping with the prairievile strip mall theme that they went with with the new columns & gates.

honestly, if they just paint everything to look consistent, those columns and gates will look fine, better than just having a concrete jungle like before. for all the bitching about the stadium, i don't say how anyone can say this

isn't a huge step up from this

i don't ever remember pre-2000 anyone talking about how awful our stadium looked, when, in fact, it looked generic and without any emphasis on outside appearance

Not really. Can't look at both sides of the stadium at the same time any way! Might as well match the other buildings that you could see from each side of the stadium.

Who knew there were so many architects on the rant.

People will literally bitch about anything. Jesus.

Exactly...

So why not make everything that color? The color it was. Concrete look. Not stucco.

That's my gripe. Why did you move away from something you JUST finished.

There were no rantards and the student section was the best. I blame terrorists and LSU security mostly on the student section decline.
