I didn't realize we had so many women posting on the rant. With all the overreacting, bitching, and whining going on here it sounds like some sort of Lifetime woman's conference.

The policy just states don't be a douche. If you look around you and everyone's head is about two feet below yours, you're the odd man out, sit down.

It in no way states that you can't stand up. All the drama queens here crying, "OMG! I'm not allowed to stand any more... I'm gonna kick somebody's arse...," are sounding downright silly.

I did not renew my 3rd generation season tickets this year because -

1. I got priced out of the market
2. The last two seasons I've been repeatedly asked to sit down from the people around me.
3. I've almost come to blows with other LSU fans over #2.

Also note, that I'm not Mr. Obnoxious drunk guy. I do not drink, but when LSU is on defense, I don't care if it's 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th down..... I stand. I do the same in my home. After reading this 'disclaimer' and new 'rule', it makes me even happier I didn't renew my tickets.

This policy is for the stupid drunk idiots who will stand in their seats and not sit down when everyone is sitting down. It's written in there so they can address these isolated cases.

I did not know there was not a blue collar population in Louisiana back then, cause if they were in La well we all know they would have packed the stadium.

I couldn't agree with you more. I also couldn't be happier you didn't renew your tickets.

i could care less, my seats are directly in front of one of the tunnels so noone sits behind me, the only time people ask me to sit is if we are on the goal line in the north endzone.

I don't understand why there needs to be a rule. Its my right to stand, and if you can't see behind me, then you should have bought a ticket in front of me.

This is in reply to LSUTigerInTexas, not DollaChoppa; sorry for the mistake.

Your rediculuous icion, continued use of profanity and lack of consideration for others reveals a lot about your upbringing (like, did you have any?). I pay as much for my ticket as you do and I have every right to expect to be able to view the game without having to stand for extended periods of times. Impromptu standing and/or extended standing at critical times in a game is certainly expected and appreciated. But for some jerk like you to stand and block the view of others is careless and inconsiderate. I am an older guy that has been going to Tiger Stadium for many, many years and hope to continue going for many more years and I feel like I deserve the same respect that I give to others, even from jerks like you. So why don't you just grow up and try to learn a little bit about how to treat others; ever hear of the Golden Rule? I doubt it.

I'm sure there are tons of anecdotes here, here is mine. Bama, 2004. There were 5 or 6 folks who stood up in front of us almost the whole damn game. The game was pretty exciting, but LSU ran away in the 2nd half. By the fourth quarter, these jerks weren't even watching the game, they were BSing and sipping on their whiskey.

During Arkansas, I'd say we stood for most of the game. But I'm still a Tiger Fan and not a "newbie" or some "old person". You don't need to stand just for the hell of it.

I'm not a rich man but my dad and I have purchased 2 season tix in the same spot since 1999. This class warfare here is BS. You guys need to get over it. There is nothing wrong with standing on 3rd down and sitting back down after the play.

I would like to stand the whole game, but I am trying to be courteous of others and I will sit and save my energy while LSU is on O. I will not stand if we are on O (unless those around me are), I will not stand during time outs, I will not stand during commercial breaks. When we are on D I will stand cheer and be loud regardless of the score. I am there to help my team win and I get more into it and am louder while standing.

It will be a sad pitiful day if I ever get kicked out of tiger stadium for standing and cheering in a close game in the 4th quater when we need a big stop. This ain't no opera folks.

It will also be a sad day if I ever start complaining about a tiger fan cheering on the team. Thats when I know I need to invest in a nice home theatre system and give my seat up.

lots of times I'll buy a ticket and make my way over to the student section just so I can stand and cheer. I much rather be amoung the students who are into the game than grandpa who wants to take a nap.

Actually, it isn't your right. LSU can tell fans to do anything they want. It is LSU's right.

It's the right of those behind you to see the game. If you want to stand, then you should have bought a ticket on the back row.

The only time people standing has gotten on my nerves was when they weren't even watching the game.

like when they're on their cell phone waving at someone else in the stadium to show them where they're sitting

If the person in front of you is standing, all you have to do is lean a little in either direction and you can see. If there is a group of people standing in front of you, then join the group and stand and yell and cheer for your team!

Do any of you sitters and complainers bitch when someone stands while lsu is on D?

Do I have your permission to at least stand while we are on D ?

In my world there should be mandatory standing and cheering while LSU is on D.

A better policy is to remind people to not cheer while we are at the line of scrimmage and about to snap the ball. It is amazing how often I see tiger fans I guess trying to disrupt our offense.

Are you saying the someone who agrees with the policy = sitters and complainers?

I tend to want to stand much more than those around me. I follow a simple rule when I decide I want to stand. I look around and if those around me remain seated, I also remain seated. And I yell my arse off. If those around me are standing, I also stand. And I yell my arse off.

Don't be dramatic. Follow the spirit of the policy and don't be discourteous to those around you, even if you disagree with when they want to stand and not stand.

I agree with your statement here wholeheartedly.

Sitting down is for old farts. If their attitude takes TS over you can kiss goodbye the reputation as 'toughest place to play'. People who sit down almost the whole game look like USC fans.
