My wife............she was a huge LSU fan, I lost her in 2010 to leukemia. We have her purple and gold flower arrangement on her tomb for football season and her little Tiger I bought her when we were dating.
She always had more faith in the Tigers than I had
I remember getting pissed and walking out of the room for the Bluegrass Miracle but she told me the game wasn't over. She was right.
Here is a picture of her with Mike at the 2003/04 National Championship Gala the night or two before the game in New Orleans vs Chokelahoma.
So yes, she'll be watching and helping cheer on the Tigers.

My mother - she wasn't really a Tiger fan, but she knew full well the joy I take from all things LSU. She died early in 2004, but she did live long enough to see me wearing my 2003 National Championship gear. The happiness that gave her in the end stages of a fight with cancer is a memory I will treasure all of my days.

The man that taught me what it was like to love LSU.
We lost him the summer of 2010. I begged him to go with me to the NC games in '03 and '07 and Omaha in '09, but he refused to go and insisted I take my kids instead. I will never forget seeing the tears rolling down his face as he watched my son, his grandson, marching down the hill in that GBFTL uniform.
He probably is cooking a huge spread and inviting all the other Tiger fans up there to eat and watch the game with him. Just like he did here on earth.
We miss you Daddy!

Some of you may know Todd Higley personally; others may know him from the old tiger rag board as WestPalmTiger (WPT). He was a walk-on at LSU under Arnie and never played a down in a game, however he played on the practice squad for 4 years and I doubt he had any regrets. He loved the tigers. Todd came down from the NE he wanted to attend LSU and intended to get his degree from LSU. As Les would say..he is enjoying the competition and success…I promise you.
Fortunately I have not lost a close friend or family member that I had memorable LSU experiences with, as many of you have been kind enough to share us here.
I pray that each of you will enjoy Saturday’s victory for you and that special person that is smiling big and you just know they want you to enjoy the win. Thanks to each of you for sharing.
