But would any of these guys staying another year make them any more ready?
I don't think any of these kids can significantly develop under this coaching staff.

Cam Thomas will be a top 15 draft pick. Does he need work? Sure, but zero chance he stays another year even if we hired the best developer in the game.

Cam.....that's it.

he scores so effortlessly he could be a top five pick if he stayed one more year to develop and refine his game...... And learn how to buckle down on defense.

All that said he still will be at first-round draft pick. Guys don't stick around anymore. It's what it is

Cam Thomas plays basketball like my 7th grader. He crosses half court and stands at the 3 point line with his hand up calling for the ball, whether he is open or not.

The tiger rant has nobody qualified to say who is NBA ready.

I remember everyone’s thoughts on Naz Reid

What do you mean draft ready? Most prospects are drafted on potential.. we have players with potential

What is wrong with that?
Every game I watch on TV, there is a designated player who goes to the corner waiting for a pass to shoot a three.
Remember Texas Tech. The rebounder kicked the ball out to the guard, who hit a three, to get them back into the game.
LSU, never happens.
Remember the game prior, when Thomas twice faked a three, then passed to Days. The first time,. Days missed. The next time, Thomas passed off, Days hit the three and we won.
Proof that Thomas is more of a team player than some guys are indicating.
Does Thomas take bad shots? Absolutely. He is a freshman.
Him getting fouled, while taking bad shots, and him making free throws, has been the difference in several games.

The nba draft committee had to beg Watford not to come out last year. He’s done here and may go late 2nd at best. Very real possibility he’s undrafted. I think Smart stays.

When’s the last time we truly had a developed prospect?

Seems like all we put out is raw talent

I've been looking at nbadraft.net and I haven't seen Cam's name on it at all.

Maybe I missed it.

Being NBA draft ready is not the same thing as being NBA ready. Outside of the top 3-5 picks most NBA teams in the lottery aren’t really looking for someone that will help them next year. They are looking for someone with the potential to help them in 4-5 years.

I think Smart needs to stay another year as well, but he probably gone after this season.I dont see no improvement from him but that he shoots the 3 ball a lil better, he's definitely not a true point guard but he is my favorite player on this team.

Agreed, he puts up a ton of unnecessary shots. But he is a pure scorer. He has excellent body control when taking off balance jumpers. He's our only guard that can finish with any fluidity in the paint. I said his offensive game was pure, not efficient

99% of NBA draft picks aren't developed when they're drafted.

really? He has the 96th shooting percentage out of the top 100 scorers.

He scores a lot only because he shoots a lot.

LSU right now isn’t getting the top end 5 star talented players that don’t have some serious flaw in there game that really and truly will never get fixed in college. They are Uber talented but raw that’s they are not going to Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, etc.

Just look at the ones Wade is getting. They all have a serious weakness that in time will get fixed but not in the 1-2 years they are in college.
