I'd like to see Doughty, Bianco or someone else at SS. I don't think Thomson should be out of the lineup but the infield as a whole needs to be experimented on

Thompson is the SS. He needs the reps. I know Bianco had that great regional and he’s not bad in the field, but he’s often overmatched at the plate.

against good teams who aren't powder puffs, jobert isn't ready "yet"

I just think it’s too early to say this. Good hitters can go 0 fer again any kind of pitching sometimes. It might turn out he’s not ready, but I want to see him against at least one SEC series and probably two before I say that.

"The umps don't fear JJ....trust me"? Based on what, your opinion? The umps here have zero experience with Coach, so what is the basis of them not respecting Coach? Nine games in, again, what's the basis for your opinion? He's taken a team to the CWS. As for Berry at 3rd, Coach Johnson had him all last year & put him at DH after trying him all over the infield. He got the chance again all Fall & pre season, so he's had what, almost a season & a third to find a place in the infield. But a high school coach/es knows more about the entire line up than an experienced college coach/ staff. After only seeing them for 9 games. Yea. Right.

It’s about making adjustments. Over the first few games opposing coaches will try to find a hole in your swing and attack it . The good hitters, will fight off those pitches until they get a good pitch they can handle.
If not , they will continue to take big hacks and find themselves on the bench.

I don’t understand how you can make statements how a player isn’t ready when he’s been hitting minus a few games, every hitter goes through slumps or has a bad game here or there it would be impossible to expect him to keep up the .667 pace he had, he’s cooled of a bit that’s it.

It is ignorant to say he’s not “ready” when he’s the 4th leading hitter with at least 26 at bats and tied for the most home runs on the team with 4.
