Why would I actually throw something at the LSU band? I recycle..

Pretty sure the only thing you need is a TAF membership card to get in. Isn't the minimum donation you can make pretty reasonable?
eta - Just looked it up, 50$ a year.
Like I said in a previous thread, the big money TAF people probably would not be caught dead in the PMAC an hour before kickoff. So really, The band is playing for wannabes who think they are special because they had an extra $50 bucks.
And BTW...I donate exactly $50 annually.

Who is this guy, thinking that LSU traditions are his to change?
His name is Frank Wickes and he probably had a hand in creating or perfecting what you call tradition so I'm sure he'll do whatever the hell he wants to keep that TAF money rolling in and I say why not.....another case of LSU fans thinking tradition is bigger than money.....tradition is fine but when you choose between tradition and money tradition goes clean out the window

If construction is the reason for the band being re-directed, I can see that...if it's temporary.
But, for the band dude, (and I love the band) remember that a lot of people have been watching the band come down the hill and joined in behind them and followed them until they went into the stadium, and then we to their seats....all of this since way before you were born. Traditions are what I just described. They should not be changed without a reason.

I hope that this is just a one year change for the PMAC construction. However.....
the band has only been coming down the hill 1:45 before the game since the Virginia Tech cluster in 2007. One of the escalators broke and the crowd was too big to get people to their seats before the game. The powers that be decided to bring the band down about 30 minutes earlier to encourage people to get into the stadium earlier and not have everyone arrive at one time.
I would rather the band go back to the old 1:15 before game time march to the stadium.

This. I hated being in the stadium so early last year.
