Alabama was one of the offers Chris received, and he chose LSU!
re: For LSU fans who made the trip....

In my 49 years, I have NEVER witnessed or experienced treatment like my family and I did last night after the game. We left the game with about 3 minutes to go, to begin the long trek to our car and hopefully avoid some of the traffic. Redneck Bama fans (and students) were lined on the sidewalks, waiting for folks to come by. They were over-the-top, and getting right in LSU fans' faces - women and children alike. Some of the Tiger fans I heard couldn't believe that girls, especially, were behaving that way. I've never seen fans "asking for it" like these were - it was all we could do to keep walking ahead, look straight ahead, and not pummel some of them. They even got on a little boy when he wouldn't high-five them as they were yelling in his face.
I never felt like this before, but from here on out, I will pull for ANYONE who is playing the tide. I'd always thought that ole miss fans were the worst, but these are right up there...

What time will the band come down the hill this Saturday?
A student athlete should NEVER be booed - especially by fans of his own school. These are kids, and they don't mess up on purpose. No one feels worse than they do when they do mess up. If I were a recruit, I would seriously consider whether I wanted to play before a fan base that treated its players so poorly. These kids work hard; they need/deserve support.

Most of the early games at MSU are usually a 6 pm kickoff. If tv picks a game up, it changes. Hopefully, it'll be a night game.
I would recommend staying in Tupelo - it's only about 45 minutes away and there are lots of hotels/motels. As a matter of fact, the old piss team always stays in Tupelo on Friday nights before home games in Oxford. Oxford and the UM campus are beautiful (though I hate to admit it), but there are very few places to stay.

re: Chris Garrett stats week 4

Was at the game... Chris had no time and no protection. Weather was bad - pouring rain, which benefited the opponent, a running team. See link below.
