I think Todd Harris is most physical, athletic looking, worse safety I’ve ever seen

The same way I knew that Jack Bech, Deion Smith, Brian Thomas, and Malik Nabers were better than Jaray Jenkins, Trey Palmer, and Koy Moore.

Malik Nabers has one catch for 6 yards in a game that Palmers and Jenkins didn’t even play, and quite a few people around here are convinced he needs to be a starter.

BTJ had more drops than receptions going into the CMU game but he catches 2 balls for 50 yards and again, a bunch of folks are convinced he needs to be a starter.

I love this freshman class. We have a ton of studs. And I think it’s clear that many of them will pass up the upperclassmen at some point (some already have). But people need to understand that every week of development matters for freshmen. The fact that a guy is ready to contribute week 4, or week 8, does not mean he was ready week 1.

Regarding Sage Ryan - I think he’ll be a hell of a safety. Maybe he comes back from his injury and steps in immediately. However, it’s also possible that the missed reps (both in practice and in the two cupcake games) set him back a bit in terms of development.
