Except there was a right answer. South Carolina got it right two years in a row. It isn't like this was unprecedented and had never happened before. Hell, LSU played a "home" game in Tempe, Arizona in preparation for a hurricane ten years ago. There is already a playbook. Your AD and the spineless Sankey just refused to follow it. And now everybody is having to take a bite of this shite sandwich.

Pretty nice. I'll disagree with the Alleva comment. He needed to stand firm after what that douche bag foley did.
Thanks for posting

It's probably jimbo.. At least the class will hold strong if he gets it. A lot of recruits think so. It's gonna take Saban $ to get him and I don't think he's quite worth that but at this point I gladly take him especially with Lsu history of hires. They passed on spurrier and got lucky with Saban. This year we lose a lot of talent so we need to close out with this top 3 class. Speaking of that are u guys concerned with mac's recruiting? I have t seen this year but it seems like u guys haven't recruited as well as in usual years.

Great post, and all true other than the Alleva comment. I'd say go and beat Bama now, but lol.

Is there anybody at Florida who holds a professional position who isn't a complete buffoon? First, it was Foley. Now, McElwain.
I love how he made it sound as though LSU fans and staff were making light of what happened in Florida with the storm. First of all Jim, you're not going to get too much sympathy with that chicken shite little thing that blew through Florida when you take into consideration the flooding and destruction that Baton Rouge metro area people have had to deal with (and are still dealing with). If we're going to have a dick measuring contest, Louisiana is John Holmes. We win with the natural disaster contest, for whatever the hell that is worth. And when it comes to hurricanes, we have forgotten more than you will ever know about them. That's why the LSU community was so pissed about Florida's handling of the game. Yet we supposedly are "making light" of the situation by being pissed about the idiotic way this whole thing was handled by a bunch of hurricane amateurs? frick you, Jim.
And finally, I love how he said "it should have been worse" - referring to the score. Yeah, you're right. It should have been LSU winning by 8. LSU fricked around and left 17 points off the board by fumbling it away, mishandling a snap on a field goal, RB going the wrong way, etc. Those things are bound to happen with a team where nothing goes right, but don't sit there and make it look like Florida came in and single handedly shut LSU down. You're not Alabama. The fact that LSU lost to Florida period - hurts like a mother. Because LSU had absolutely no fricking business losing that game.
Over the years, the LSU/Florida rivalry started to grow stale. I actually started to feel sorry for Florida fans having experienced Spurrier and Meyer years to what that program is now. Not anymore. So, there's always that as an outcome.

For all of you saying that we were out coached yesterday- the only reason we had a chance to come back was because Mac and his OC are complete morons. They were running at our middle at will on 2 2nd half drives, and we couldn't stop them. We just don't have the beef up front (at least not on the field
) and UF was really exploiting it late. Well, until they got cute and killed both drives themselves. One with a poorly executed screen and the other with an even dumber pitch play/fumble. Even if it hadn't been a fumble, Key had it read and stuffed from the snap.
If UF keeps running at the center, they score 2 TDs instead of 2 FGs, and put the game completely out of reach. That isn't good coaching. It was just wasn't as bad as ours. It still got them a W, but it's still a big difference.

Screw your coach and your fans. We should have never agreed to re-schedule the game. Weather happens. Move on.

Coach Mac is not as smart as he thinks he is. He always gets too cute when things are working.
All in all, yesterdays game was poorly coached and executed, by both teams

Yep sa la vie. LSU is in tight spot right now but I think we bounce back hopefully we make the right hire don't want to be like UT and UT.

I'm pulling for the Gators in the SECCG. Yeah, I'm crazy.

Congrats to the Gators, U simply wanted the game more than us. Good luck in the Sec Champ. game.

No arguments there.
I hate Bama and you are a good dude, so normally I would say good luck in the SECCG...but I hope Bama breaks the scoreboard on you guys. No offense and nothing personal. The east is still just as bad as ever, and I want to see that exposed on the big stage. Again.

Solid post but karma would have been LSU winning as Florida and the SEC office butchered the postponement of this game weeks ago.

Great post, Alumni Guy. I'll be cheering for your boys all the way in Atlanta.

you guys played hard, but your coach is an idiot

I was born in Florida and am a pure-bred Gator hater. I enjoy beating them more than anyone else we play.
Nothing good for LSU comes from Bama continuing to win and play for national championships. I am in favor of any chance they have of losing.
Not that the SECCG is such a chance.
