Thought: Its OK if Aranda makes more than Orgeron

IF Aranda is truly considered the best DC in the business, then his salary should (and does) set the standard. On the other hand, regardless of how much you like Orgeron you would have to agree that he is at or near the bottom of the list of HCs in Power 5 football. Therefore his salary should and is the lowest/near lowest in the class.
When you put this together, couldn't you see a justification for Aranda to make as much or more than Orgeron since he is so highly esteemed.

Dave Aranda deserves to make more than O. But I'd still support it solely on the grounds of wounding Orgeron's ego.

No. Let Aranda walk and replace him. It is not hard. His defense will rank in the 50s at A&M for the foreseeable future. The next LSU DC will have a defense in the 30s, at worst.

Yes but no way that would happen. O would never stand for that and who could blame him? If this is true its either pay Aranda the money and bump Os pay or let Aranda walk. Very sad situation!
