Let's say the facts are these: Every 5-7 Orgeron will catch Lightning in a bottle (like he did in 2019), get the right payers and coaches, and win a NC. In the interim years, he will languish between 7-5 and 10-2.

Do you keep him? If not, how often does he have to produce a championship for you to keep him around?

Winning a natty every 5-7 years and guaranteed winning seasons with sometimes NY6 bowl games in-between? Yes please. You'd have to be an idiot to not take that.

Orgeron doesn't have the mental capacity to catch lightning in a bottle again though and we will hover around .500 every year he's here.

it's become crystal clear the at 2019 was freak luck, with Burrow, Brady, and sick offensive talent. Remember, we had all that talent in 2018 (minus Brady) and had a pedestrian offense.

All of those are now gone, and we've spiraled down the last two years.

2019 was unfortunately a one-off aberration, not a sign of O's masterful program building ability.

Every year and then he's not safe.

Nothing makes an LSU "fan" happier than firing a coach.

He hasn't shown he's good enough to do this. More likely he languishes between 4 and 7 wins and never captures lightning again if we keep him long term

Let's say the facts are these:

LSU Football Coaches since 2000:

Les Miles, 77% win, 1-1 NC, 148 games
Ed Orgeron, 76% win, 1-0 NC, 61 games
Nick Saban, 75% win, 1-0 NC, 64 games

So who caught lightning in a bottle?

Quit making shite up and make your point with real facts. I am not defending Ed here. I am just tired of the depressed keyboard warriors making shite up and slinging it on the wall to see if it sticks…
