About fricking time, too!
I can't begin go count the number of bounces that have gone against us in our 17-9 (8-8) phase.
I don't really agree with that outside of the Bama game last year and MAYBE the UF game in '08.
In both those games, the game turned on a lucky play for the opponent.
We were extremely lucky in 08 to beat Auburn on J Lee's TD pass to Chris Mitchell. If not for that, we likely end the season 6-6 going into the bowl game.
Last year, the Ole Miss game wasn't as much bad luck as just poor coaching at the end. Same for UF where we simply got outcoached on both sides.
This year though reminds me a lot of 07 in the number of great bounces we get. We definitely put ourselves in position for them to happen though, so it isn't just all luck.

I'd throw an umbrella over 2008 and say that Perrilloux deciding to cuss out a restaurant manager, stop going to class, and allegedly failing a drug test was all a HUGE bounce in the other direction.
In 2009, I'd go ahead and say the Bama non-interception, the Florida non-offensive pass interference, and the Penn State LB sitting on top of LaFell as the clock winds down (and the 15 yard penalty for shoving him off) were all pretty bad bounces.

If you want to say bad breaks, I guess you're right. I just think the RP situation was just bad planning by the coaches. It came to bite Miles and Co in the arse.
The UF PI was a bad no call, but our offense lost that game when they settled for the FG at the UF 2.
The PSU game should never have come down to that play. It was a horrible play call. The penalty was a bad break, but still a stupid play.
The only really bad break last season I saw that changed the game was the PP INT against Bama.

I'll give you that the no-call against Florida didn't decide the game, but the Penn State shite most certainly did. We were in Jasper's range before that 15 yard penalty or about five yards outside if my memory serves me.

Positigers are giving Arkansas zero respect. There is no other way to put it. It's good to be positive about your team. Arrogant and disrespectful about your opponent then your like Bama fans.

Looking back at the play by play, we got to their 45 on the play. That's still not in Jasper's range. That's a 62 yard field goal.
The time was ticking, and we would've still been able to spike the ball, but when an OL is dragging the LBer by his leg, you straight up took away the ref's choice to call a delay of game on the defense there. It had to be called on the LSU OL.
Bad luck? Maybe. Bad playcall and player being silly? yes.
I just don't think we lost that game because of the guy sitting on our player.

All I would like to do is discuss the game. That can't happen anymore. The positigers have gotten so arrogant and sensitive about discussing games. They have cried so much that you can't even make a point. I would like to break down matchups between our Defense and arky's offense. I love football and used to love the back and forth between people making points on both sides. It was great. Now this place is like a Bama board. You have to be a homer on every point or positigers start crying and getting their panties in a wad. Chill out. Let's break down the matchups in the next 2 games. Making a point should not make people so sensitive.

are you the same guy that said we couldn't beat Florida or Alabama, enjoy the season and quit worrying about something you don't control

Y'all will win that game just like you have the others. It will be close, JJ and JL will play, y'all will bitch, and LSU will win it in the 4th quarter.
would you want it any other way?
That's what I'm talkin about...
To the OP: It was the sarcasm and pessimism in your post that led to the derision and personal attacks. If you had started a mature conversation, you would have at least gotten a couple of mature responses...

always bitching about something...always complaining...just LIKE A frickING WOMAN......I have been to more lsu games than you have probably ever seen in total...t.v. or otherwise. I played for lsu in the early 80's, and I am pretty damn sure i know a lot more about football than you do. LSU has faults, as does EVERY single team in the nation...but I am proud that we are 9-1 and a great chance at a great year. Will we lose to arkansas at arkansas??? very possible, but you are the same mother fricker that said we would be lucky to go 8-4 this year...and now that we have exceeded that you are still bitching.....un fricking real...there are about 6-8 of you stupid fricks on this board that blow the site up with posts...and you don't know shite about football...[/quote]
Amen Bro! It's one thing to constructively criticize but it's another to just whine and bitch no matter what!

Arkansas does scare me with their offense. But Mallett is the best type of QB our defense can face. Hes a statue in the pocket and doesnt like pressure. We have ballhawk DB's so I like the matchup.

Have you seen Arky's defense?
Posted on 11/14/10 at 6:44 pm to lsu xman
We have to get in Mallett's face frequently.

you don't think that there are an equal number (at least) of ranters on here that drone on and on with the same old mindless, negative bullshite? I would say on any given day the unobjective threads from the posi's and the nega's are about the same.

LSU losing to Arky is 50/50 unless Mr. Jefferson can "put it together".
