So you're not including the one where our team accepts the trophy?

Eh, Miles has situations where he will use Lee. Those situations may or may not present themselves. See also the SECCG.

I know you are right, we'll see.

Nah. Im not. After number 5, he'll get on the field to stay there until after the trophy is handed out.

Reminds me of a caller on a national college talk radio show Monday night. "Ray from Louisiana" called in to tell it that he has an inside source on the team who told him that ever since Nov. 5, Les has been hiding Lee and working on a few series with him in practice specifically designed against a rematch with Bama. And that he Lee didn't play again so as to not tip anyone off. But that the plays are designed so that Lee will come into the game in the 2nd half and be the hero.

Ray was 1000% serious.

I heard the same thing. Don't know if it's true though.

Would not be surprised at all to see Lee. With a month to prepare he can certainly create issues for Bama's defense. The quick pass to slot receiver was not run against Bama or the jet sweep with RS. Look for both.

Even there was some truth to it, why would Miles do this? That would mean that he is expecting Jefferson to be ineffective.

I do expect Jefferson to struggle this time around, but Miles won't pull him. After seeing Miles leave JJ in for the entire 1st half of the SECCG when he exhibited some of the worst QB play I've ever seen, there's no reason to think that he will put Lee in unless JJ is injured.

I heard that players get "points" (demerits) for various things. ...being late, curfew, grades...etc. Players can lower their points by running them off before practice.

If the points reach a certain level then perks are removed (like family game tickets)... I heard that JL has had a lot of points for a while and that it has been a long time since his parents were able to go to games.

If Lee has been a slacker behind the scenes its surprising to me.... but it would explain a lot.

Whatever Miles wants to do is fine with me.

He has plenty of time to plan for this game and I wouldn't be surprised if Lee is given a chance at some point during the game.

We don't know how each player is looking in practice or what the game plan will be.

I have two thoughts on Lee. The first would be to see Lee step in very early. Not necessarily start, but in the second and third series, then take him out. Then come back to open the second half with him.

The second would be to have him come in late in the second quarter. The last seven or eight minutes...maybe two series again, but NOT the last one. Then bring him back to start the second half again.

Either way, Nick and associates will assume that Miles was not happy with him, and would spend the half break preparing for Jefferson. Then open up that "special package" for Lee again, totally leaving Bama unprepared for what is happening. When they start adjusting to Lee in the fourth quarter, switch back to Jefferson for clean up.

None of that is probably going to happen, but it would be fun to watch. LOL!

We need Lee to throw quick outs, JJ to pitch and run the option and pitch. We'd better not depend on JJ getting rushing yards for us. He's only averaging 27 yds per game. If you take away his long run from each game that drops his avg to less than 10 yds per game.

I would love to see Miles use both Jefferson and Lee like he did last year in Gainesville. That was a perfect mixture.

I think we see Lee in the game....

Bama's defense is good. JJ will struggle, not because he sucks (he doesn't in my book), but he will struggle. Les will not just let him keep struggling. Unless JJ goes out there and freakin lights Bama up (which he won't, again, Bamas defense is good), Lee will have packages of plays - quick throws - hurry up stuff (he seems to thrive when playing fast) - general change of pace.

This game will be the crowning jewel of Les Mile's genius. We will all see why Miles keeps saying "we'll need both to win".

reading most of these posts...these are the same posts for almost the same reasons Lee was going to see the field vs Arky and UGA...I laugh at all of you...

I thought about that before I posted. Miles said Lee was coming in for the first series of the Ga game, but Murray's fumble change anticipated down/distance/field position.

I take CLM at his word on that. I think had defense held, Ga punts, we'da seen Lee.

Didn't Lee even say he was supposed to go in? Or did I make that up?

It is a damn shame that this debate has hung on and escalated so much.

I am close to believing that the supporters of one is hoping for the other to fail (even if it costs LSU the MNC) so that they can say I told you so.

I wish that every player could get some game time, but it just doesn't work that way. The coaches are going to put the best chance of winning on the field and would catch more grief if they did anything less.

+1. I wish the best for Lee, I really do. I hope Ray from Heroin, Louisiana was right.
