Why can't you post this without the namecalling and antagonizing? I have zero problems with the people who approach sports the way your 10 year old self does. It's people like you who feel like you have to "educate" fans that are not content with where we stand as a football program that I can't understand.
Of course I am excited for this game, especially because I live in Houston. If LSU is 2-9 going into the last game of the season I'm still excited to get up and rock my purple and gold all day Saturday and cheer on my Tigers. At the same time I realize this team has problems, and they're worth discussing.
The rant is for people to vent. Getting out frustrations with like-minded fans here is somewhat therapeutic to me. To expect fans of a program that was top 5 in the country a short time ago not to lament that we've been trending downward is unrealistic and it does no good to try to change their minds and "look on the bright side," especially using words like "miserable fricks" and "a-holes." You justdivide the fanbase even further and create MORE negativity.
When bad things happen, people will vent.
GET OVER IT.

Made this mature decision at the mere age of 10?

Of course I would like to be in the playoffs, but that didn't happen this year. Next year looks very promising and I will eagerly anticipate what 2016 holds. Until then, it's Tigers v Red Raiders.

Nick Saban. It's that simple.
LSU fans can't get over it. We had the best coach of a generation here and we lost him to a bitter rival. If he would have stayed in the NFL or gone somewhere else outside the SEC, I don't think you see as much negativity throughout the lsu fan base as you do now
Yeah, if Alabama wasn't winning, we would all be elated about some of the greatest talents in LSU history finishing the season with peach, music city, and texas bowl losses.

Some of them state it in ways that make them come off as miserable. The people who say they refuse to watch the bowl game, and wouldn't go to it if they lived across the stadium seem miserable.
I agree with all of this. There are extremes on both sides and they tear this board apart. (Looking at y'all, winston and beefense).

Part of LSUs problem, and a big part of the reason that Les is still our coach is that we have WAAAAAAAAY too many self-important pricks who think LSU Coaching/Decisions is their job.
All the Board members and others "in the know" including some on this board created a shite show for the media to play out on a grand public scale which made keeping Les at that moment the far less program suicidal option.
So maybe if it's not your job to hire and fire head coaches for LSU, you should just stfu.
If it your job, you should also stfu and do what you have to privately.
Anyway, Less is our Coach. Geaux Tigers.

Maybe LSU gear is on clearance because it's the end of the season and the merchants want to turn their money over to buy for next year.

Same story since 2011. Next year, next year, next year. Kinda like "free crabs tomorrow".

Education has nothing to do with Athletics financially. Do you understand that?

It is what it is. Haters gonna hate, ranters gonna rant. A lot of it is actually really funny. It would be nice to occasionally discuss LSU sports without the ultra negative idiots' bs though.

OUR Problem is the people like YOU who have accepted the crooked administration that is running a once great program into the ground. The fact that it's tigers vs red raiders should tell you something. This program is going nowhere fast because the people in charge are either crooked frauds stealing money from the community or incompetent idiots collecting paychecks. It's time to clean house and put people who actually care in charge. If they screw it up, fire them until the problem is fixed. WE DEMAND THAT THE ADMINISTRATION BE FIRED. THat is what we need to be saying if you seriously want an NC next season.
Let me guess, you are under 25 years old, don't hold a position of authority in your current job (if employed), support the "Occupy Wall Street" crowd and always think "the man" is keeping you down. Stop looking for reasons to be a victim and start looking for reasons to be happy. The people around you will thank you.

I agree with you, in part. These boards are designed to discuss or vent. I have no problem with that. I want LSU to win. Perhaps Miles should have been fired. He was not. It's over. To whine, moan and bitch for days and weeks after the decision was made to keep Miles, just seems childish, pessimistic and counter productive to the team people profess to love.

I hope yours doesn't either, seeing as you are clouding your brain with strategical decisions you have no impact on, such as LSU football.

Who are you to decide who is and isn't a real fan?

1) STFU
2) High Expectations are a good thing
3) LSU has a unique advantage in talent to themselves, so comparison to Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss State and Auburn is ridiculous, as any of those would love the recruiting-to-themselves leverage LSU has.
4) This ain't the old days. LSU has as much coverage, or more, than any other college football program, and has the base it never truly had at any other historical period.
These are just some of the reasons your perspective is shite.

I can relate to yor feelings. I bet you watch every game thinking "we can still win this thing" and go about the season the exact same way - trying to put losses behind you because we still have something to play for, however insignificant that may seem to some folks at times. This is LSU football, we wait all year for this and I am not going to ruin it for myself by getting angry about it.
Funny thing is, I don't think this is "child-like" at all. That is the way the competitors should actually approach the games and season as well. Its true in life as well. You cannot roll through life trying to find someone to blame every poor move on.
I don't know how many more games I will get to watch as a Tiger fan. What I do know is that LSU has always been a huge part of my life, and the head coach or any other personnel at the moment have very little impact on my experiences and perception of how I view the athletic program and the University as a whole. It is a huge part of my life, but it is only a part.
That doesn't mean I don't want to win. I have never thought LSU was going to lose a football game going into it, so needless to say I take losses hard, because it mean my prediction was incorrect.
The people that seem the most miserable are so accusatory, negatiger this positiger this, sunshine pumpers, "you must be content with mediocrity!". I cannot be sure about everyone, but this is the attitude that seems childish; getting upset with anyone in their way that things didn't go how they would have liked them.
Maybe some people just choose to get angry to disassociate themselves from a program that isn't currently at the top. Success comes in cycles, and is so hard to come by. Look at the history, and how difficult it has been for programs to sustain success, many good programs with no Nat'l Championships to speak of. I am going to support the program through good times and bad.
