I have the feeling that this years 3 man front may be the best since the 82 DL with Leonard Marshall, Ramsey Dardar and Wild Bill Elko.

Marshall was voted defensive MVP and was basically unblockable and went on to a great NFL career with the NY Giants teaming with Lawrence Taylor.Rashard Lawrence reminds me a whole lot of Marshall.

Ramsey Dardar wreaked havoc in the middle as the noseguard and dominated every center he faced including Dave Remington. Alexander does not have the quickness or athleticism of Dardar but he is a huge powerful man who has potential to control the middle of the line.

Wild Bill Elko was a brute with a mean streak and played very well in Big games. Havent seen Fehoko play but both Aranda and Pete Jenkins said he was best DL on team last year which is scary because Lawrence was a beast.

Throw Tyler Shelvin in there as well. Him and Ed Alexander can rotate as nose guard. God that's nasty.

If they turn out to even close to Marshall Dardar and Elko they will easily be the most dominant DL in the country

this. The backers have to be consistent in gap coverage and eye discipline and this front 7 will make the backend look like Peterson, White, Claiborne and Mathieu were back there!

There was one mediocre guy who could substitute on that line. Every other backup, besides Greg Bowser, sucked or was too young. The 2011 line was just as good and had NFL depth.

I liked ‘85 and ‘86 also. Karl Wilson, Henry Thomas, and Roland Barbay.

I guarded a fat six foot freshman in a 3 on 3 pickup basketball game. He was a super nice kid and had remarkable hops. Six months later he was the starting nose guard, taking Ramsey Dardar’s place. Henry Thomas went on to star for the Vikings. He was always listed as 6’ 2”, but that was my height, and he was considerably shorter than me.
