And they weren't even supposed to get this far this year. They were playing with house money.

At least that's what all my USL friends are saying this morning.

Regardless, it went just about as expected.

They had a good season.

I like how it ended.

So what happened last year when they had their best team ever?

They had a good year, played a good series and lost to a better team.

I don't get the animosity towards ULL fans...i find it kinda cute they think they are on LSUs level.

They overachieved this year for sure. Nice year for them, but we run this state.

they lost a ton from last year's squad

the fact they made it to a super was pretty impressive

their entire weekend rotation was freshmen so I fully expect them to be pretty good the next couple of seasons

Look at all the players they lost from last year's squad. They are young so it was a rebuilding season this year for them. They had a good year after a rocky start.

Of course they had a good year. No one is saying they didn't.

They had a great year considering it was a rebuilding year.

Wait till next year.

They should run the table right? No more excuses.

So they should be happy just be there and not disappointed they got swept, right?

They should also be happy for LSU and cheer them on all the way through Omaha.

Good lord are you really that dense?? No one thinks that...

However we don't just bow down to the insults and hazing by back bayou Walmart tiger fans... As someone commented to me last week, the McNeese fans were great because they "knew their place".... not happening with us and that pisses you off

When we come to play you we come to win... that happens very rarely because you are a top ten athletic program and we are a mid-major... but that is not going to stop me from hoping and cheering.. and I am not going to just bow my head and thank you for your kindness when all around is negativity towards my team..

I'm sure they're disappointed they lost, but most fans I know were level headed enough to realize they had a better season than they expected and had a tough regional pairing.

And they are losing their best player in the draft tonight. A lot of juniors and seniors on that field last night.

Yeah, they did a great job at watching Rice and Houston pitchers forget where the strike zone was located. Unfortunately for them, LSU pitchers didn't walk them around the bases.

They had a great season, similar to that of Arkansas. No one expected either team to get anywhere near where they did considering the losses both sustained.

What sucks for ULL is they lose (At least) 5 position starters still, but do return entire weekend rotation and lose very little pitching overall. So they might really struggle offensively next year, even more than this year.
