No way Bain can be the closer for SEC play, he has one pitch. Good teams will rock him. I’m hoping the actually use Peterson.

I agree with that assessment. Bain has been doing a great job, just not on the mound. He has been effective, but SEC could be a nightmare for him. I'm am so happy for him to be having the year he is having, let the "Bain Train" keep on rolling!!!

At this point I would put NOTHING past AB! They said he couldn't hit higher level/SEC pitching..He's doing it! Can't get guys out with just a FB.....He's doing it! Hasn't played 2b in who knows how long and he's doing it, quite well.

Let's face it this is AB's world and we are just living in it! Let the Bain train roll on!!

Also John Kodros has been really impressive out of the pen so far.

I was in favor of leaving hilliard in the pen because he gave us a good consistent long reliever, but you can't argue with his results. Maybe Peterson can fill that role instead though. I'd somewhat agree with Bain as a closer. I wouldn't say he should always be the closer. Would depend on the situation but it does seem like he's the first guy Mainieri looks at and so far its worked OK.

I asked in another thread but didn't get an answer, when's the last time Sanders has pitched? It seems like it's been weeks since he's pitched in any outing of significance

I wasn't able to watch the end of the game last night, but I thought I heard someone say he pitched last night. Don't quote me on that though.

Sanders pitched last night and was sharp.

He needs to be pitching in SEC play by May because he’s an SEC arm.

If this level of pitching continues, its just a matter of time until we have a nice run
