This team reminds me of the ‘03 Oklahoma team

They were scoring more than any other team in the NCAA. Their defense was good, but not NC caliber good. So when they make it to the NC game and meet a NC caliber defense, they lost.

The OU defense was actually pretty stout that year, outside the Big 12 CG that they lost 35-7 (I remember at least one pick 6 in that one).
If anything, their offense fell flat against K State and against us. Jason White got killed in those games.

This isn’t 2003. The game has changed drastically since then and that old saying about defense isn’t true anymore.
