This team is soft!!!!

They are terrible at blocking and tackling and the problems start there. It’s obvious it’s not emphasized and the players take no pride in it. That is on the coaching staff!! You have to instill an expectation with the entire team. If you are not about being great at blocking and tackling next up! It doesn’t matter how many Stars you showed up with!!! That’s on the Head Coach. He sets the tone!! You can have great schemes (which we do not) but if you can’t do the basics of blocking and tackling you will not win many games.
It’s the least sexy and mundane aspects of football to coach but the most important!!!!

It was as noticeable how good UCLA was at tackling and just laying hard hits. Our guys would push the runner out of bounds and never really hit them.

To be honest, we have looked similar early in the year many years. Even 2019 vs Texas we looked like the less physical team.

It was a cowardly display on both sides of the ball. They got handled by lesser athletes.

Yep!! I made it all up!! Just a soft fan that saw nothing wrong with the play of the team….

I agree. LSU was near the bottom of the physicality rating last year. Several reasons then. O spewed how physical and great the camp was going only to be skull drug at the Los on both sides.
We need to be dominant at the Los. Number 1 priority. Without this it affects every position and we have nothing.
It starts with S&C led by this has been Moffitt. Everyone loves guy but when it comes to getting the big uglies into sec shape, we'll it ain't happening. Just look at Bama and GA for starters. No comparison. Saban builds his offense relative to the potential of the o linemen FIRST. Go figure.

Coach Mac's lean years were never as bad as this abortion Orgeron has fielded. It all comes down to experience as a Coordinator, versus a position coach with a very limited perspective, and totally reliant on Coaches that he views as threats to his job. This is worse than Chisik.
