Arkansas scored a TD on their first team. Twice.

You continue to be completely ignorant regarding the game of football. You should stick to posting about Alaska on the OT

People want to hyperbole and say all of this anger a result of the Bama game.
In part, they are right. There were not many people talking about how bad the offense was before the Bama game.
But that does not make the facts more or less true. The facts are what there are. The offense is bad. VERY bad.
Some people want to blame the oline talent and that the scheme is fine. If that's true than the issues are much deeper than first glance. O has been in charge of recruiting for 3 years. And supposedly we are going backwards in talent. That's a real issue. Their argument is accomplishing the opposite of what they want it to do.
I personally think we may have an issue with S&C. So making changes there is good.
But having an offense that is almost dead last brings issues to light. Either 1)the talent we have is God awful, or 2)the offensive gameplaning is terrible (playcalling, etc). If it's 1, we need someone who can utilize the players we have and their strengths. If it's 2, we need someone who can gameplan better.
Either way, we need a new offensive structure. It's right there in black and white.

LSU had two red zone trips in the fourth quarter. Let's say they even scored touchdowns on both of them, would that 29-14 score make it any less of a beatdown it was?
Yes. Because I believe in taking away positives and building on them. And momentum. Even if there’s no good way to quantify it.

Bama won because it has more talent at virtually every position.
No debate here

Overhauls take time. If you haven't noticed, the line has been stripped down to the bolts. We're in the rebuilding phase of that unit (and still need another elite recruiting class to go with the freshmen).
This is kind of my main point. I don’t see any big overhaul in the works. I see a slightly dressed up Cameron offense. And forgive me if I don’t have confidence in some Orgeron grand plan, I’ll have to see that first.

Anyone that scored any points had a better chance of winning than we did.
And I've not gone anywhere, but super original post.

Best response you could have made.
ETA: You should have just left it as no message.

From the first reply to this thread:
quote:
Because we played vs their first team most of the game and missed a FG.
Everyone else has had their backups the second half.

These single, exclusive factor arguments are silly. Talent, and the relative disparity is only one issue. Match ups, which arise both out of recruiting strategies (and luck), as well as coaching schemes, are another factor. And preparation/ coaching is an important factor. Injuries is yet another, albeit limited in scope and time,

Exactly. The offense puttered along vs. southeastern and no one cared. It’s a carbon copy of Miles/Cameron.

we will continue to get outclassed against Bama and we will continue to lose one or two games a year to inferior opponents.
everyone loses to Bama and we have just one loss other than that. Who else in the SEC has done better?

Can someone post the points scored by other teams in the first half this year against Bama .... again
Bama has only shut a coiled teamsn out in the first half and every SEC team they have played scored on them. Most had double digit first half points.
