My question is, pre-snap it looks relatively easy to see they are rushing 3 with only 1 LB in the box…why didn’t Nuss change the play to a run? Nuss needs at least 2 plays in mind when approaches the LOS, one of those plays has to be opposite of the play call to attack the fewest number of defenders.

This is where Durham being out hurt the offense big time. Early in the game, an RB missed a pickup, and Nuss got crushed. It wasn't a sack, but it set the tone for Nuss in the game.
