This Ole Miss game is a big test for Ed O

He has done well getting this team off the mat and fighting hard after the rough start. Kudos, but can he sustain it and win when we are supposed to win? We are 7 point favorites on the road and are the better team on paper. We cannot have a let down. Big test for coach O.

Yes, it will be a tough game. They will throw the ball 50 times. I have faith Aranda will have the D ready.

Get after Shea early and often
Devin White should be lit up since he turned against LSU during their recruiting

That is mind boggling. I am taking out a second mortgage and putting it all on the black rebel land sharks.

It is.
For me, every game is a test for here on out. Just being honest. He reverted to the bad habits of Ole Miss tenure. History has repeated itself once already.
For me, he has to get back on the other side of the line. He's got to earn the benefit of the doubt now, which he lost in the MSU game. It is doable, but there has to be consistency, letting coordinators coordinate, steady improvement, and he has to STOP HIMSELF, no intervention, from returning to 'Ole Miss Orgeron'. No more second chances on that last one.
To be fair, after the 2005 TN game I had the exact same attitude towards Miles. He swung the pendulum way the other way. While I think it's fair to give Orgeron the same chance, because of history (recent and otherwise) the leash has to be much shorter.

So far he's lost two games we should have won.
I'm hoping that he's bringing the team around and that the tough and gritty team from Saturday is the team that is going to come out of the tunnel from now on.

Here we go. Let's just play ball and let the chips fall where they may.

If we lose to Ole Miss we are right back to where we were in September.
It would prove that the Auburn game was just Auburn getting cocky after kicking our dicks in the dirt in the first quarter.
We've seen what the talent can do when the coaching is hitting the right buttons.
Our roster shits all over the Rebs and they have an interim OL coach in place of Freeze. They are a goddamn mess and losing to them would be a huge set back. Period.

had this exact same convo with my son and some friends this weekend. he has done well to get them nice wins in the swamp and against a pretty good auburn team at home.
not saying those W's are for nothing, but to go to ole miss this weekend and lay an egg would be another huge set back.
going there and winning would show we are definitely improving, but also maturing and getting some leadership.
with O's past with ole miss, i think this game is going to be personal on both sides. he's going to want his. and they aren't going to want him to get his against them.
i think its going to be a barn burner.
