But, there's this thing called recruiting...

Epps is going to be a good one too. Best face up game between himself and the M's and he can defend

I think once Elbert gets his leg strength back he could be a dominant post force. He has a more then reliable 15 footer and he can hit a hook shot over either shoulder. He's also an excellent passer out of the post. I actually saw someone say that Bridge, Epps, Gray, and Elbert didn't even deserve to be on a D2 roster. Come the frick on. They're all first year players.

Garrett Temple is in the NBA. He played like a walkon for 4 fricking years. My god
He's the exception to the rule. There are a lot of 6'5" guys who play like walk-ons in college for 4 years. Almost none of them are in the NBA.

TQ is a very intriguing NBA prospect, but not a better NBA prospect that Martin.
Lester I see where you mentioned Garrett Temple, and that's what I think TQs floor is. Off the bench, defensive minded guard with good height and length. But let's not act like he tore it up this year. 11ppg, 42% FG, 31.5% from 3, 5.1rebs, 3.9assists, 2.4 TOs. And his #s from his freshman year are horrible. He's still a very inconsistent offensive player. He shot 42.2% from the field this year. He had 13 games where he shot below 40%, and 12 games where he shot below 35%. He was the definition of a hot / cold player and scored in single digits like 15 games this year. And it was just 1 year of decent offensive production and it was inconsistent. Needs to be more consistent and get better with his efficiency and improve his shot selection and assist:TO ratio. Love his D and rebounding ability though.
And i don't know if he can play the 1 in the NBA, mainly on offense. He's at his best off the ball, making cuts and slashing to the rim. And his shot selection was questionable at best as well and he took too many 3s. When he's in attack mode, he's very good becasue of his size advantage and knows how to dump it off to the open player when the D collapses on him.
Very intriguing prospect. But not a better NBA prospect than Martin.
Martin has great size, athletic ability, and skill. He is a very comfortable ball handler that can take the ball up the court If need be and is excellent running the floor in transition. And like you said, he's very good and instinctive rebounder and can guard the 3 or 4. He needs to improce and be more consistent when shooting from the perimeter, but he has a good shot. It's not like his shot is broke like MKG was and even like Mickey is. He has a nice shot and good touch. He has the potential to become an efficient scorer from the perimeter and improve each year in that aspect. His TS% is 56.7% and his eFG% is 52.9%.
Is he a perfect prospect? frick no. But his size, athleticism, and skill combo is pretty impressive. He's a high potential player and could be a 17ppg, 8rebs type of player. He's gonna need some fine tuning and a year or 2 to develop, but the size, athleticism, tools and skills are all there. He's eerie similar to Tobias Harris, who went 19th overall. He needed some time to fine tune his game, but has averaged like 16ppg and 7 rebs in his 3rd and 4th seasons in the NBA. He and Martin are very similar.

People saying Tim Q has no chance getting drafted are blinded. The dude did everything tonight. I know. He missed 2 big ones at the end.
But he's very athletic and if he gets a better shot. Watch out.
Martin prob tad better prospect at this point. Both early 2nd rounders may creep into 1st.
Mickey not so much. Soft soft aoft

the jump he made just shows his potential. It's a positive, not a negative.

brought down mainly by his 3pt shooting. He shot 50% on 2pt field goals, which is great. His shot selection is a little iffy right now, but he has a great touch, which leads me to believe his shooting will only improve.

kinda like Odell Beckham, right?
we'll see. I bet when the time comes, TQ gets draft higher.

Yeah? the air ball and missed free throws down the stretch is what u look for in crunch time?

I think Martin gets drafted higher than Quarterman. Martin has that "potential" that gets kids drafted higher than they should. And I'm not sure TQ will ever be 'the man' on a team. This was Martin's team. Next year will be Ben Simmon's team. After that, we will have to see.
As for Martin in the pros, I think he has potential to be a good player. He plays defense and hustles. That will keep him around for a while, but he will have to develop a mid range shot. His ceiling is probably a more athletic Brandon Bass.

Maybe he'll make a leap in free throw shooting next year
Maybe good enough to make the front end of a one and one or 1 for 3 when fouled beyond the 3 point line

He's a PG, he doesn't really have to be "the man".
