martin is skilled and athletic but i just have this sinking fear he's going to try and shoot 18 footers and avoid the paint

he isn't THAT good at those shots to try and make that his NBA game, but damn do those types of bigs love to only do that shite

you and i both know the type and have seen countless prospects go down that road in the NBA

Quarterman played an instrumental part in the last two choke jobs this team has had. He almost single handily choked away the Auburn game, and basically had 5 straight terrible plays on O and D that sparked NCST's storm tonight.

He has talent, but that's it right now. He has a long way to go between the ears before being considered a real option for an NBA team.

Quartermann ought to shoot 1000 free throws a day before it becomes his team next year!!!!!!

See, Martin is coordinated, but i think he lacks skill. Definitely athletic for his size.

But he has zero moves on offense. He thinks he can shoot, but he shoots line drives. He's not a good shooter at all. He needs to be playing near the goal until his shot develops, but like I said, he doesn't know how to play in the post either. He's coasted thus far on his athletic ability alone

I do think he has a knack for rebounding. And he's prob suited to guard 3/4's at the next level. So he has that going for him.

we both agree he has no post game and thinks of himself as a shooter while not being very good at it

You have the #1 overall prospect coming in, right? It will be Bens team.

on another note, you can just tell by his expressions & his inconsistent play that he isnt ready to play with grown arse men.

He feeds off his guys and situations as well. When the game slows down so does his approach, and he is going to settle for jumpers. This is only like his 5th yr of basketball, he has a high ceiling but could just as well end up being 'just another guy'

TQ will have a long pro career IMO

But can he play in the post at the next level? He isn't 6'10. He measured in at 6'7 without shoes at the LeBron James skills academey last summer. So he's probably around 6'8 or 6'9 with shoes. That's not exceptionally big when compared to most modern NBA 3's. In order for Jarell to maximize his NBA stock, he has to develop a reliable mid range jumper. That way defenders will have to play up on him where can then use his ball handling and quickness to dribble around them. That's another thing, he needs to stop barreling into defenders and work harder to get around them. He's got a lot he needs to work on. So like Mickey, he needs to come back.

martin needs to slide in the draft to the late teens early 20s to a team with a developmental coach

the pistons would be bad roster-wise, but i bet JVG could maximize martin's talents. GS would be a dream

mickey has no position in the NBA so he needs to come back

but martin needs to leave asap, or he'll just learn bad habits playing college ball and he'll miss his developmental window for the NBA
