This is starting to be more believable as time passes.

The fact that he is listed as doubtful and not questionable makes me think that he is lying about Sam. I know Sam didn’t take any snaps yesterday but was at practice yesterday. What day does lane have to update the injury report?

90 minutes prior to kickoff I believe is the final report. He has to update once today and once tomorrow too.
"Doubtful" means there's a 25% chance he can still recover and play. If he is listed as doubtful until the final report on gameday and he then plays, and plays meaningful snaps, the SEC will immediately investigate LSU's medical reports on him throughout the week to determine if the surprise was intentional or if he really did make a meaningful and unexpected recovery. I just looked all this up.

If the line moves to favor Ole Miss I’m hammering the frick out of it. I think we’d win with Knox at QB.

I expect him to be upgraded to questionable tomorrow and then probable on Saturday. I'd expect to be doubtful again today....but who knows.

So all LSU has to do is make sure they document that he is injured and is unlikely to recover and then if he does recover the SEC can't say anything?

Why is everyone acting like there’s an advantage to gain listing our qb or anyone as doubtful? If anything the opposite is true where you’d rather withhold injury info so your opponent does not have time to game-plan for the backup. Giving ole miss a 72 hour heads up is not helpful in any way to us, they already would have their Levitt game-plan installed and now have time to prepare for Clark.

True, there are scheduled updates each of the next 2 nights if what I read is correct. Not sure if we'll see an update to questionable/probable or what. Probably depend on how the shoulder feels.

Lane is not lying, and Sam is actually dealing with an injury. Sam can still play on Saturday. Two things can be true.

If Leavitt is really hurt and does still play this week, hopefully Lane is a little smarter than Brian Kelly when it comes to injury management and uses an in-state FCS opponent week to let his QB rest and get healthy.
Still frustrating that everyone knew Nuss was hurt and BK still played him against Southeastern last year instead of taking that week to let him heal up. If you can't blowout Southeastern with a backup QB playing, you weren't good enough to play for anything meaningful at the end of the season anyway.

Because at the very least it makes the opposing team have to prepare for multiple QB in case the report is true
