quote:

“Elias plays through pain,” Shauna told The Athletic. “This is not an opt-out. This is not, ‘He’s gonna transfer.’ He’s injured.”

quote:

Eli has a history of shoulder issues, tearing his labrum toward the end of his junior season at Mater Dei High School in California

quote:

Eli had surgery to repair the shoulder after his senior year, enrolled early at LSU and went on to have an All-American freshman season with four interceptions, two returned for touchdowns

quote:

Eli again had surgery before the 2021 season and was only fully cleared a week before the opener at UCLA, where he had another interception.

quote:

they have an appointment with the surgeon at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday

LINK Has even more tidbits

Hopefully the so called "fans" that have their panties in a bunch calling Ricks need for surgery an "opt out" will stop screaming at the sky now.

I hate she had to say it. He’s had a shoulder brace all year. It probably an unstable shoulder getting it fixed now is a great thing he will be ready next year

Agreed. If you think about it this is literally the only time a kid gets to choose where to play football. High school is based on wherever born/parents live and NFL you are drafted/traded. The kids that choose to come to LSU should be supported while they are here

What will your opinion be when he chooses to transfer to another school?

Reading is fundamental.

Also, his entire family is in Baton Rouge. They didn’t rent a home, they bought one.

Of course, it's not an opt out. Because the Pandemic rules ended at the end of the 2020 Pandemic season.

People were having problems with that sentence in my thread.

Why is it so hard to understand?
