If LSU wins, that's what was expected, and the committee was justified in leaving them out.

But if they win... The 8 team playoff talk will only grow louder.

If UCF wanted in, they should have found a much more challenging out of conference schedule than:
South Carolina State
UNC
FAU
Pitt

They are not exactly striving for greatness with that schedule. If anyone in their schedule cracks the top 25 during any given year, it is a mere unexpected anomaly.

So frick ‘em. If they want to play with the big boys this time of year, they should play with the big boys earlier in the year.

i gotta agree. i wasn't happy with the orgeron hire, but IF he wins this game it put's us back on the right track. ny6 bowls, 10 wins, etc.

not a huge step. hopefully establishes a baseline. big difference in 9 wins and 10. we should only win 9 games once every 4 years tops. it's not the 80s. 10-3 should be our floor, not ceiling.

So beating Miami, GA, Auburn didn’t show you anything. But beating UCF does?

I have been a very vocal critic of the hire, but this season got me off of O's back. He showed me that he can get players to play hard for him.

I agree on some of your points, especially the conservative game plans and offensive philosophy in the aggie and florsux game. That was a miles game plan if i have ever seen one. If this close to the vest shite doesn't stop under O then I too will be off the O-train. I notice both of those loses were on the road and could have happened at auburt too if not for the winning field goal. You can't play that way and be elite, you can play that way and win 8/9 games a year, but not 15 games!

UCF isn't the program with enough clout to be the "push" for 8.

It is laughable people believe this.

The push for 8 will happen when we run into a situation where multiple media darlings are unable to win their conference and need help getting in the Final Four.

Think of a scenario like last year, but along with Bama needing help, so would OSU, Oklahoma, Texas, ND, USC, etc (a couple more of these to go with Bama while Tier 2 teams win the conference championship games).

Maybe you should apply for the position and bring LSU to the "promise Land"... So dumb. Go swim with the other idiots and haters. Maybe cheer for another team while you're at it.
